Expecting to find the second door in the chamber he'd just left, Roderik opened the door and quickly stepped through.

Roderik is now back in the hallway where he started, except he is now in front of the other door that he did not choose a moment ago.

You hear a faint noise down the hallway where you came from earlier. You suspect it is something coming your way. It is not making a noise that is audible enough to distinguish yet what it might be, or how it is approaching. You just heard something and it sounded like it was time for you to move along.

You notice something as well nearer you. A faint draft has just tickled your right arm, blowing from left to right for just a second, leaving you to guess at what it was that caused such a sensation. You also swear you heard a mini off-key whistle as you felt the draft.

Roderik

Suppressing a grin, and then a grimace of pain, Roderik held up his right arm, and "felt" along the left hand wall by letting his shadow fall on it, watching for any spot where the shadow fell through, or "pushed" against something in the wall of the strange tower.

Roderik: Roll to detect secret passageway was successful. You now have the option of passing through this shadow-door.

The sounds down the hall are getting louder. It is something that is coming rather fast. However, in the confusion that your sound diversion trap caused...it has stopped for a moment to sniff the air.

OOC>>>You have taken 1hp cold damage and go ahead and expect another 2hp when you actually step through the door.

The trick worked, the Shadow Mage must have enjoyed his trick from the cave and reused it all over the tower... That would definitely make this harder, especiially if he kept getting zapped. As it was he could already feel his life force ebbing, and the cold... he felt so cold. Then he was past the door, the chill was still all over his body, permeating through him, and causing a great deal of pain. as he stumbled through the passage he dug the last healing potion from his pack, and quaffed it. Feeling refreshed, but still weak, he looked around to get his bearings and establish a hiding spot for his ambush against the latest pet the mage was sending after him.

He had waited for some time before seeing that no one was going to help Andrion who had fallen on the ground.

"Are you all just going to leave him there?"

The trail from the wolf-thing led through the forest, staying mostly south of the Tavern, and slightly to the west. You quickly find the spot where the beast fed, and a few scraps of fur are all the remain of the squirrel. The Clearing has obviously seen some fighting as the beast rolled, and thrashed much more than was necessaary to take down the tiny mammal. There is no obvious sign of his leaving the scene, and no scent trail to follow out.

Nanashi (Finding the trail of the wolf-thing)

She found this a most odd site in the forest where she had trained all her life to be an expert huntress. She could not make out what kind of creature had come this way, but it definately was something that the Master would be intested in. She continued to scout around, trying to learn more of this beast of unnatural-like qualities and see if it might be of some use to the Mage.

Arcades arrives at the end of the Wolf's trail in his elven form, looking around for where the creature might have gone, but finding nothing. He sends a quick telepathic message to the nearby Liam. "Stay close by, I'm going to try and intice our hidden friend."

Sitting down at the base of a nearby tree, he shifts his fingertip back into a dragon talon, cutting open the skin of his forearm and filling the air with the scent of powerful elvish blood, concealing most of the scent of dragon hidden in the blood.

Liam

Liam stayed hidden in the foliage, close enough that he could readily come to Arcades aid, yet far enough away that the werewolf would find it difficult to sense him, especially with the smell of Arcades' elven blood heavily perfuming the air.

The aristocrat breathed the scent in deeply. His breath hitched in surprise and he strongly inhaled a few more times in response, his brow furrowing slightly as he caught a glimmer of another familiar smell...
