Liam, after feeding the various animals and socializing with the few more vocal ones, approached the cabin and walked in, passing KayLisa at the doorway.

"If it please you, it would be my pleasurre if you visited again, once Larrry's quest is overr," he addressed the druid formally with a bow. Noticing Arcades uneasiness the aristocrat smiled amiably.

"Therre is no need to avoid the otherrs, my frriend. They will be courrteous, and most will just ignorre you, which they norrmally do with any otherr visitorr." Hoping that he had laid his worries to rest, Liam continued his way across the room, pulling out various foodstuffs in preparation for a stew. Once it was simmering and he had made sure that his guests were comfortable, he took a seat at the table. The cat that had been on the table sauntered over and made herself comfortable in his lap. After petting her for a few moments the man turned his golden eyes in Larry's direction.

"My frriends arre warry of yourr aurra, Larrry, but you would not be in herre if you werre a dangerr to them. They will cause you no harrm. As to checking up on the otherr grroup, I may be able to send someone... inconspicuous, if that is what you wish." The cat in his lap stirred and in a high-pitched but husky voice chattered,

"Kitty!"

Liam chuckled slightly at the others expressions and rubbed the pleased cat under her chin.

"Please excuse Neomea. She does not have a larrge vocabularry, but she can speak herr mind when she wishes. I found herr trrapped in a burrning trree nearr the farrmland. It seems that some thought she was a daemon because she could speak. Who everr she used to belong to had abandoned herr by the time I found herr."

His demeanor became grim as he remembered the event, but it soon passed and his face became acquiesent again. "But I am getting off the subject. Would you like me to have someone check on the otherrs forr you, Larrry? That way, you need not worrry. It can't be too difficult, I am surre."

The handsome elf nodded in agreement. "Yes, it is a good idea for us to get a moment to recover. We ought to have a watch, of course, since we are unfamiliar with this land, and its dangers, which we discovered earlier," he added drily, thinking back to the unexpected brush with the flying creature and its unhatched young. His facial expression changed for a brief second as he remembered the ring he had found, and he filed it away in his head to talk to Rong about it later.

"Once we find a suitable place, I will take first watch, if that is alright with everyone." He scanned the nearby area for any suitable places for them to make camp.

He looks to Liam and nods. Walking over, he pets the cats for a moment and steps away from the building. Within a minute, Arcades body shimmers brightly, shifting and expanding untill he takes his original shape. The Golden Dragon's body is easily larger than the Cabin.

Arcades takes a moment to streach and then lays down on the ground, looking back to the cabin. "This is much better. I hope you dont mind Liam, but it's not always comfortable for me to remain in a shapeshifted form."

The corners of Liam's mouth quirked for a moment as he looked out at Arcades. "It is no trrouble, my frriend. What everr is most comforrtable forr you. Although I must warrn you, you now prrovide a wonderrful sunning place for the otherrs. You may find yourrself used as a nice place to lie on." As he warned the dragon, a bunch of cats were already sniffing the dragon with curiousity and a few of the more braver ones were already staking out their claim along the dragon's back and haunches.

She couldn't help but laugh watching the cats climb all over Arcades and finally relaxed a bit for the first time in decades...

Arcades swings his neck to look at the cats climbing on him and smiles. He then looks at Kaylisa and picks her up with his tail, laying her on his back among the cats so they have someone else to play with.

"Oh, I think I can tolerate them Liam, now that they have another playmate."

Larry was also smiling, his spirits lifted after the grim discussion about himself, and was thankful that the attention had been averted to the dragon instead.

"Liam, that would be most appreciative...to send a pair of eyes after the others. I am so worried about that candle. It is one of a kind. I would never be able to make another, and the evil that was me does not know my secret recipe!"

The speed of the great cat was a horror to those that saw her coming, and fled from her pathway in drastic attempt to save their lives. But she was not hunting today. The dark forest that lay at the boundry lines of the Realm of Shadow far to the East was her home and she knew the trails well enough to be able to run them blindly. But this was not a game. Indeed, she had reason to be in such a hurry.

As she left the cover of the trees of her home and saw the amazing dark tower looming in the distance, once again being constructed by the return of the Dark One, her thrill was unable to be contained and she could not help but cry for joy...for he had returned from the grave as he had promised! She ran even harder than she had been, covering the distance in miraculous time. She came to the dark wall where a door had once been and waited. In a moment more, a doorway appeared and she entered without caution, for she already knew she had been invited.

As the tiger approached the stairs that would lead her to the fourth floor, her form melted away and became more human-like, though retained it's tigerish looks. The hybrid ran up the steps faster than a human could have dreamed, being aided by the muscular legs of the form that she had taken on. In another moment the female was at the entrance-way to what she knew to be the throne room to the One. She pushed open the door and walked in calmly, shedding the tigery appearence and taking on a human form. The human female bowed herself to the ground briefly as she came to the throne, then stood and surveyed for the first time in two years the Mage of Shadow. He sat like a dark shadow upon the throne, his robes of dusty black billowing from some unseen and unfelt breeze from which she herself felt not. His eyes were like looking straight at an eclipse, and was too black to stare at for long. Her own Ice-blue eyes shimmered with emotion and thrill as she spoke to him,

"Masterr!...I have come at yourr bidding! How may I serrve you?"

"Nanashi, it is good to see you again! I take it all is well in my land to the East?"

"Yes Sirr, it is! I have been faithful to the hope of yourr rreturrn and have kept the land in contrrol. How may I be of serrvice to you this day?"

"I have a problem. You see, there's the matter of the conditions of my return. When I was reborn into this world, the human that borne me was given his own seperate life back, and I realized that I no longer needed an avatar. He escaped before I could kill him however, aided by the bitch you know as TaoWolf. The druid is protecting him from me while he runs around trying to find artifacts for a spell. I need him killed. He poses a threat to me. He retains some of his memories that we shared."

"This is a simple task forr me, Masterr! I shall easily do as you rrequested. The Wolf will not be a prroblem. Shall I go now?"

"There is one other thing. Liam is with this group."


The anger could not be contained and she lost her composure in front of the Shadow Lord. Her form changed as she growled in anger, deadly hatred buring in her beautiful eyes. Muscles that the human form did not posess now formed and tightened in desire for the kill. Once again in her hybrid form, she asked in a more raspy voice than before, half growling in her speech,

"Nothing shall stand in my way from killing Larrry Silverrfall and all that travel with him, whetherr it be the Tao orr Liam! May I go now?"

"Have fun!"

The weretiger's answer was a growl of terrible promise as she bounded for the door, leaping down the stairs in great leaps, and when she got to the second story window, that was only visible from the inside of the tower, she leaped out the open window, turning into full tiger form as she did and was already running at full speed just as she hit the ground. The anticipation of revenge and to serve her master by removing the ones dangerous to him fueled her with such adrenaline as she had never felt before. The day of her greatest hunt had finally arrived.

She ran at top speed toward the cavern entrance that would take her through the mountains and into the Northern lands.

As night fell The bard broke his long silence, "We should find somewhere safe to camp, shadows are strong when the moon is out, and any light we can provide would greatly help us in warding ourselves. Of course staying out in the open would be sheer lunacy, especially with those Peryton's and dragons about, let alone lord knows what else.

"We should also decide watches, Andrion since you have to re-memorize your spells, it might be best for you to take the last watch, so that we can get an early start in the morning, without waiting for you to pore through your tomes, or try and make you study on horseback."

The bard began scanning the area for suitable cover, a rocky overhang, or other easily defended spot.
