a quick note about elethias' rations, it is mostly dried fruit and bread (and other nutricious herbs and beries cooked into the bread(whole dried fruit, meaning seeds are available of various types)

Arcades and Tao: I am still at a loss of whether you should find us, or we find you. The way it is looking, we're following the sounds of the baying in order to locate the source, and should find you...but by then you may already be met in battle.

Note: The sounds of the wolves are almost overpowering our party members, and we will be greatly reduced in battle strength until we can somehow be protected from the howls.

Rhianneth...I have a special plan for you, for you find it strange that you are not affected by the howls like the others are...see to PM.

Cyril, I copied you on it.

I am going to try to lure these beasts into the gate........

The gate and ward weave are an old ancient spell using the ley line power and the ancient stones of the earth to lure and trap the beasts into the very rock of the stepping stones.....

Morgie...I am very proud of you for bringing up the Chaos Hound's History in FR as well as relating to the "Black Speech" in LotR. Great work! I shall let Cyril answer your questions, as he is the dominate DM at the moment concerning the area layout and what you have asked.
