Bakilas smiles and taps the first suitcase, "Thats what this is for. Took it from a vampire hunter a few months ago and thought it might be useful."

Cornelius accepts only three weapons from their generous host. Two twin colt .45s with 15 round clips, and small snub nosed .38 revolver that he tucks into the back, while making the .45s disappear into the front of his expensive suit. With that done he bows graciously to Orrick. He couldn't say for sure whether he liked him, but he respected him none the less.
"Thank you for your gracious hospitatility, we will resolve this endevour in a most timely manner." Then looking to the other vampires, "Are you ready to go? Orrick is a busy man we must have wasted more than enough of his time."

Storm narrows his eyes at his host, grabs for a gun laying in front of him...not even knowing what type it was or anything, since he was not accustomed to using them, and says, "fine". He looks over to his newfound friend and shrugs. Turning back to his tormentor, he says, "And I suppose you expect me to know how to aim this thing and hit something with it?"

Bakilas watches Storm and tries to figure out if the fool knew what he was getting himself into. He slowly pushes his chair back just incase Orrick decides to punish the newly turned vampire, he sure as hell doesn't want to be in the way.

Orrick rises from his chair, and pulls his suit open revealing his bare, pale skin, "I have said before I am not expecting you to act as my war hounds and take him out, if you try and one or two of you survive I shall be impressed, go collect information and I shall reward you all in ways you can hardly imagine, material possessions, or mortal worshippers, it doesn't matter, but the reason for you to go is that these Kine have developed some kind of power that lets them identify, track, and eliminate us and our servants. If waking up to see a stake driven into your chest doesn't terrify you, then perhaps the thought of burning to death soaked in gasoline after being staked will, I guarantee you'll be conscious enough to feel every microsecond of torment as your flesh crisps and burns away. If you wish to know how a gun works, then fire away. I don't put safeties on my weapons, besides it will be a good object lesson for the rest of you."

OOC: Skye, don't forget that ghouls are typically held to a lower standard than vampires, most of what is expected of you is loyalty and competence, as long as you show those two traits, your survival is, if not guaranteed, at least not in immediate danger. (a compliment is still a compliment especially from a jaded elder vampire)

Storm looks at his potential target, then around at the gawking vampires that were wondering just what he would do. Instead, he packed the hand-gun away, reached down for another one and packed it away too.

"Your kind took me from my home, gave me this curse, and now I have to live wih it. I fear the grave like anyone, so if somebody is out there trying to kill me, then I might as well get them first. Let's just get this over with. I do this for me."

ooc- I know that, but my character does not. She is not quite familiar with the rules of this new "game."

"...I do this for me."

"What better reason than for yourself?" Gwynne murmured softly to herself, without any trace of sarcasm or bitterness. During the clash between Orrick and the other vampire -- she wasn't sure of his name -- Gwynne had watched them apprehensively from her spot against the wall. Some of the younger vampire's speech confused her, especially the part about curses and losing homes, but the last comment he made she could understand entirely too well.

Once it looked like the confrontation was over, Gwynne cleared her throat hesitantly. She almost felt like she wasn't allowed to talk or something, but she couldn't stop herself from asking questions. "Excuse me, but if everyone is prepared for this encounter, perhaps we should hear about his appearance, what danger signs to watch out for, where we are going and its security... That is, if we know anything..." she trailed off, glancing at Orrick and then looking away sheepishly. "It's best to know whatever we can, otherwise we might as well walk in with a sign on us saying 'please light'."

Bakilas had almost forgot that the ghoul was there and almost jumps when she speaks. Without bothering to listen to her he carefully opens one of the cases and starts to sort through his gear and after a few seconds he pulls out four glass balls. Two balls contain white powder while there is one with some form of green substance in one and what seems to be shredded plant life in the other. Carefully he wraps the ball that contains the green substance in a thick towel and places all four balls in the front of his jacket.

Mistral

If only I had Beaulie with me... no, if only I had my Pride and Prejudice book with me... or better still... my computer and Ironworks
(OOC: ) with me... ~ The wheels of cogitation were spinning, ramming hard against the unfocused thoughts strewn all over the path - mostly unknown and always disturbing - ahead. The pneumatic drill continued to attack her head as the minutes crawled by; she was gasping for fresh air, but all she inhaled was a repugnant stench and a double dose of fear.

How could I have come here... I just can't understand it at all... ~ She continued to rail silently and indignantly, all the while feeling that her mind was about to explode from the uncertainty.

And now, her bedclothes were completely drenched, streams of hot perspiration mingling with cold sweat. For the first time, she was shivering despite the absence of a gale or snow. Such excruciation she had never felt in her entire life. Death or insanity would surely be a piece of cake compared to what she was going through now...
