ic:Khalraan leant on Tyra, is head resting on her breast.
Khal sighed, he was happy, he'd finally found someone to be a 'mother' for him...He thought of Skye, and what she'd say, she was perhaps the nicest half-elf Khal had ever met, yet for some reason Khal did not know, she had not been a mother to him, as much as he loved her, and she him, it was not right.
Bringing back his thoughts, Khal looked up at Tyratria again, and said
'Thankyou, Lady Tyra.'
He smiled, and looked at her with his 'innocent' looking eyes, and hugged his 'mother' again.

"Whats wrong with the elf? What isn't wrong with him? You're asking the wrong person," she growled.

Aeris stepped back. Forgive me for bothering you Lady Alliene... Aeris walked back to his room, Alliene words lingered in his mind. Maybe Verloren would know. He walked up to her room and saw her there with Calaethis. He hesitated to ask. He walked up and bowed. He decided he would ask later. Greetings Calaethis and Lady Verloren.

Verloren glanced up from Calaethis in time to see Aeris approaching,
"Just do as I say," she hissed at Calaethis, "Is that so hard to do?" she straightened as Aeris drew withing hearing range, "Good morrow to you, Aeris. How are you today?" she returned in a pleasant tone.

Calaethis inclined his head, bowed to Verloren and without a word, spun on his heel, and walked back to his room.

Aeris smiled. Good marrow to you as well Lady Verloren. I am doing good. Aeris watched as Calaethis walked away. There is something I wanted to ask you about Calaethis, His attitude and words to others are queer. I recall him being polite and warm. Now he is dark and cold it seems. Is there is something wrong with him? Aeris shook his head. He frowned looked at the floor and then looked up at Lady Verloren pleadingly hoping for an answer.

Calaethis got to the door of his room and stopped. He paced over to a window. He didn't know why he couldn't talk to Aeris; but he'd interupted his talk with Verloren. He had intended to obey her. He looked out of the window and sighed. He walked back to his rooms, and opened the door, locking it behind him.

Sylquis looked up from her bed, where she'd been sitting reading. She heard the door open and lock, again, and she climbed out of bed and crept into the living room. Seeing Calaethis, she shied back, and wincing when he looked at her.

Calaethis unbuckled his sword belt, and threw it on the couch; seeing Sylquis, and seeing how she winced made him suddenly feel ashamed. He realised how badly he'd been behaving, and how much he must have scared her; he walked over to her an embraced her, holding her tightly. Then he sat down and craddled her in his arms.

lol SG, its spelled 'queer'. And Verloren is 5'1, so no one in this group can look up at her, lol. Unless khal and slyquis are that short [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Verloren shrugged uncomfortably and adjusted the glittering tiara in her hair, "Something about his goddess betraying him. Frankly, I don't see why he's so surprised, the Gods are constantly using mortals like us to achieve their own ends. Just ignore him for now. If he's friendly, return it, but I'll not stand for his snapping and yelling where he has no place to do so," the queen looked down the hall he had left and sighed with a small shake of her head, "Anyway, I'm glad to see you, young Aeris. You are a brave one, are you not? We are leaving my manor here in a week, but in the time remaining, I need someone to test my food and drink before I eat it...someone is after my child," she touched her tummy for emphasis, "Are you willing to do this for me?"

Aeris nodded. Anything for you Lady Verloren for all you have done for me. You even helped save my brother! (OOC: Sorta [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) I will do this for you. He smiled and was glad he would be able to help Verloren.

OOC: Okay I edited just for you LB. [img]tongue.gif[/img] I meant he was looking towards the ground and looked back up.

Calaethis craddled Sylquis a moment longer, and asked her if she was hungry; she nodded. Still dressed, Calaethis set her down, and holding her hand, lead her over to the couch - he strapped on his sword, and unlocked the door. Leading the child back downstairs, he looked at Verloren and smiled half shyly at her, and nodded a greeting to Aeris. "Greetings, sister of my..." he broke off, his eyes clouding over momentarily, and forced himself to finish, "...sister; and also to you, Aeris, of House Kencer." still smiling, he released Sylquis's hand, and she also said shyly "Hallo Lady Verloren, and Aeris" she let go of Calaethis's hand, and stood next to Verloren and looked up at her, "Are you feeling better now Mistress? Are well enough to give me lessons, please?" she asked softly; Calaethis laughed, sounding surpringly clearful, "Sylquis!" he exclaimed, "Verloren has only been up a few days, give her a chance! I'm sure she'll still tutor you!" he laughed again, and Sylquis blushed. Calaethis stopped laughing and turned to Aeris, indictating he wanted a word - moving off to a pillar, he said simple, "I believe I owe an applogy, my friend... if I am still your friend..."
