ooc: I can't believe you would allow such a dastardly no-good NPC to live in your RP! Unless... maybe he should be, um... erased? Discreetly, of course.

And where is that bladebard who's really just a Bard here?

Pathris roared with laughter as he watched Moralae's reenactment of the jump. It really was quite humorous, as well as being pretty accurate. But it was fun too. And when was the last time he had had such fun?

He smiled at Moralae's last comment. "All the more reason to jump from a higher branch, don't you think?" He was sure he would've enjoyed it if he had been prepared or had time to react.

Pathris flipped over onto his back again, floating in the direction of the Elf woman. "You know, it really is a different perspective from here. Looking down from the branch, the drop looked enormous, but from down here, it doesn't look so far."

He floated in silence for a few moments, considering what he had had to put up with the past couple of days. There was a stark contrast between that and the time he had spent with Moralae. "You're so much more fun than those three that I've been burdened with," he said, turning his head to regard Moralae with his green eyes, which were not shining in the moonlight. "They're so... boring. They deserve Pnay. I'm sure they're enjoying it right now, in fact."

(ooc: Poor Skye's probably completely swamped with other things if she hasn't been on this long. But we all know she'll come back to this RP first, because I gave her a pet dragon. )

Moralae

Moralae's eyes widened and she emitted a skeptic scoff. "Pathris, maybe they're not very entertaining folks, but are they really so bad that they deserve Pnay?" She smiled. "But think about it a moment, if that's your opinion of them, do you really think they worship you?" She raised here eyebrows, then smirked and rung the water out of her black hair.

Moralae's amethyst eyes then grew to an enormous size as something brushed up against her leg. She quickly muttered. "Well y'know Pathris, it's been great, but I don't think I'm quite over that phobia of fish, so I'm just gonna head to the shore there..." Without another word she dove down under the water, swimming towards the bank. Surprisingly she wrapped her ankles around one of your floating feet and managed to tow you in as well.

When she reached the bank Moralae breathed a sigh of relief, clamoring up to a seat on the grass. She then noticed how drenched she was and said, "You know, I think this may be an appropriate time to go raid the local clothier..." She looked to you with mischievous eyes, but then snapped her fingers and said, "Ah, but you jumped out of that tree with me, so it's your call. I am a woman of my word." She grinned and winked. "Though if you think up something lame I might just pull that not all words are my personal property to be swearing on."

ooc- yay for k-spree and her knowledge of me! actually I was going to come to this thread first because you're such a lovely, wonderful DM, but i s'pose the dragon excuse works too. Also that allure of a poptart soon to come..

ic-After making sure Turgon had his eye on the experimenting dragon, Skye thanked the bartender profusely and promised to return the lute as soon as possible. After pondering for a bit and tuning up the lute, Skye sat herself in a prominent position in the bar, easily viewed by the patrons. Flashing a grin around the room, she started to sing jauntily in common.

There is an inn, a merry old inn
beneath an old grey hill,
And there they brew a beer so brown
That the Man in the Moon himself came down
one night to drink his fill.

The ostler has a tipsy cat
that plays a five-stringed fiddle;
And up and down he runs his bow,
Now squeaking high, now purring low,
now sawing in the middle.

The landlord keeps a little dog
that is mighty fond of jokes;
When there's good cheer among the guests,
He cocks an ear at all the jests
and laughs until he chokes.

They also keep a hornéd cow
as proud as any queen;
But music turns her head like ale,
And makes her wave her tufted tail
and dance upon the green.

And O! the rows of silver dishes
and the store of silver spoons!
For Sunday there's a special pair,
And these they polish up with care
on Saturday afternoons.

The Man in the Moon was drinking deep,
and the cat began to wail;
A dish and a spoon on the table danced,
The cow in the garden madly pranced,
and the little dog chased his tail.

The Man in the Moon took another mug,
and rolled beneath his chair;
And there he dozed and dreamed of ale,
Till in the sky the stars were pale,
and dawn was in the air.

Then the ostler said to his tipsy cat:
"The white horses of the Moon,
They neigh and champ their silver bits;
But their master's been and drowned his wits,
and the Sun'll be rising soon!"

So the cat on his fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle,
a jig that would wake the dead:
He squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune,
While the landlord shook the Man in the Moon:
"It's after three!" he said.

They rolled the Man slowly up the hill
and bundled him into the Moon,
While his horses galloped up in rear,
And the cow came capering like a deer,
and a dish ran up with the spoon.

Now quicker the fiddle went deedle-dum-diddle;
the dog began to roar,
The cow and the horses stood on their heads;
The guests all bounded from their beds
and danced upon the floor.

With a ping and a pang the fiddle-strings broke!
the cow jumped over the Moon,
And the little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the Saturday dish went off at a run
with the silver Sunday spoon.

The round Moon rolled behind the hill,
as the Sun raised up her head.
She hardly believed her fiery eyes;
For though it was day, to her suprise
they all went back to bed.

Skye stood up with a flourishing bow, then sat back down again, waiting to see the patrons' response to the cheerful, ridiculous ditty.

ooc- blatantly taken from JRR Tolkien, but don't worry, the next one will be my own it was too late to come up with a good one ^^; g'nite all

EDIT- *GASP!* i spelt JRR Tolkien's name wrong! blasphemy!

Turgon grinned as he saw Skye using her womanly charm when talking to the innkeeper. It was a side of her he had not seen before, and it amused him to see her that way. He couldn't quite decide which side of her he liked best, the adventerous or the bardic.

As Turgon had enjoyed observing Skye, he had for a minute forgotten all about the little polymorphed dragon. As he couldn't see Ryukari sitting next to him, panic almost overwhelmed the Sorcerer, before he noticed the little boy sitting next to the fire. He sighed of relief, before he went over to the little one.
"Now now, Ryukari, didn't I tell you to sit quietly next to me?," Turgon said, half dragging the boy back to the table. "Behave now, and watch your mommy."
He grinned, and turned his attention back to Skye.

The Bard had now gotten a lute in her hands, and was about to start performing. Hoping she wouldn't do anything stupid, Turgon shook his head, and made sure Ryukari hadn't left again.
As the song got further, Turgon discovered to his great surprise that Skye actually was talented. Her song had rhyme, and she performed it in a marvelous manner. And worst of all, it even looked like she enjoyed it.

The song ended, and Skye bowed. Not waiting a second, Turgon started applauding her at once, making sure Ryukari did the same. Using his charismatic self, he did his best to persuade the others into doing the same. He winked at Skye, and smiled.

Pathris did his best to shrug as he floated. "I still think that I'll head back only to find that they are having the time of their lives in Pnay." He looked up at the moon and make a disgusted face. "And why would I want them to worship me? That would be an awful lot of responsibility and I don't quite have the ability to perform miracles. I'd hate to disappoint my loyal worshippers."

He continued to float even as Moralae decided to head back to the shore. Somehow, she managed to tow Pathris in as well, but he acted like he didn't notice. "You know, maybe you're right. Maybe they're not as bad as I thought." He paused for a moment before muttering, "Except Lurin. I don't know if I'll ever like that guy."

He followed Moralae onto the shore and looked at his drenched clothes. "Hmm... that's not such a bad idea," he replied to her "raid the clothier" idea as he did his best to squeeze water out of his clothes. "But maybe we should dry off first? I don't think sneaking would be easy all wet. Might leave a trace we'd rather not leave." He looked at her and smirked. "Might there be a shop that has candy treats here, by chance?"

(ooc: Sorry all, I've had midterms this week, ca-wazy...
Skye, I'm not sure if there's any pop-tarts to be had in this town, but I've been looking on the radar and there seems to be some concentration of them in any direction from here.
And a final IMPORTANT note: I'm changing my XP system again. I'll tell you when you've leveled up. Don't worry your pointy-earred heads.)

Turgon & Skye

Many of the patrons began clapping politely and nodding their heads at Skye's song, adding in a chuckle and a whistle with Turgon's urging. Ryukari applauded most boistrously of all, seeming to find some delight in the sound and sensation of clapping. The bartender seemed pleased with the song, if nothing else.
The tavern customers who were conscious enough to move from their warmed seats did so, tossing the odd coin to the performer's feet with a sleepy smile. All and all it looked to be about ten gold pieces worth.
Ryukari immediately dashed over to Skye after they were through and followed suit, seeming to pull a gold piece out from behind his ear and merrily dropping it with the others, a wide grin on his face.

Moralae

Moralae scoffed at you. "Honestly Pathris, if there was a sweets shop around here do you think I'd be wasting my time with you?" She then grinned apologetically, gathering her things into a compact pile. "Now, how to get around without dripping... I mean, we can't just sit here all night drying off, right? We'd get insanely bored! But hmmmm..." She sighed, tracing her jaw with her hand. "Well... Apart from streaking through town..." She then added, "Which might just work, considering the coronary we'd give anybody who saw us..." She then laughed hysterically, falling back on the grass by her things. "Ha!" She inhaled sharply. "Ahem... Well... Other than that, I suppose we could go roof hopping." She snickered, laying her head back in the grass again. "Though I can just see the looks on their faces! HA!"

lurin for some time had not been in the group. he had lagged behind and had not spoken for a long time. his face showed anguish as he uncomfortably approached the group."i.....feel it is time for me to leave the group" he eyed the rest of the group nervously. "i just need to return to the forest...it has been calling me ever since we left the dungeon.....i am sorry......" he turned and smiled at skye and turgon and then briftly walked out of sight.

Pathris smiled at Moralae, amused. "Of course there's no sweet shop. I forgot where I was for the moment." He smacked himself lightly on the head, which of course is the nonverbal equivalent of the most eloquent phrase ever uttered in the history of... well, history: "Duh!"

Then he chuckled softly to himself. "Besides, if there were a sweets shop, I would've stolen everything in it before I came to the inn." He thought for a moment, then added, "Wait, probably not everything. I don't like those fruit filled candies very much. Why ruin something so nice with something so vile as fruit?"

He went silent for a moment, pondering the possibilities. "Well, now that we've established that we could live without the others presence, and more importantly, that I loathe fruit filled candies, we have to consider what we will do with the cruel hand that fate has dealt us.

"Your streaking idea, no matter how successful, would be rather easy, don't you think? Wouldn't you rather have a challenge?"
He then whispered confidentially, "Honestly, I'd rather not be challenged, myself," before continuing, "Challenges are fun. And if they result in a sweet reward, it's all better.

He stopped and stared at Moralae blankly. He had lost his train of thought. And of course, this irked him to no end. That woman was a bad influence. Very bad. But did insanity ever look so good as it did there in front of him? "Don't answer that, it was a rhetorical question," he told himself.

"Uh, roofhopping sounds fun," he concluded finally, giving Moralae a sheepish smile.

After bowing mutiple times and thanking the patrons with the usual elaborate bardic speech, Skye went over and handed Turgon the money she had earned and ruffled Ryukari's elvish hair fondly. Seating herself down again, she commenced to sing another diddy. No longer really caring if she earned any money or not, Skye took the sleepy, dreary town on as a challenge- and the wild gleam in her eye said that she was going to liven the town up, or at least the tavern, if it was the last thing she did.
Open the invisible map, and look for a reason to live
The true light is hidden somewhere

And when you reach unknown surroundings
When you're lost and let down you can poke your way out

You can find you sparkle and leave your troubles behind you
Even lost in a labyrinth, there is a way out!

Open the invisible map, and look for a reason to live
You'll find the true light somewhere...

Someday you'll understand the reason behind these confusing days
Give me the strength I want to exchange tears for courage

In this town there are fragments of dreams
Infinity is overflowing, right?
Close your eyes and run away from yesterday!

Move away from yesterday, face tomorrow
You'll brighten your heart of your own free will, straight ahead...

Shining my heart,
and I can't stop Dream...
Shining true heart,
and I just fly away...

Open the invisible map and catch the light
You'll definitely find the true shine
Who wouldn't yield to such cherished dreams?
Surely now if you flap your wings, your heart will come flying
But I won't lose my way
I will fly high
Never-ending dream...

Skye shook her head, then looked around, bemused, as if remembering where she was. Bowing, she jumped up and beckoned over her shoulder to Turgon and Ryukari to follow her. "And now, I bid you Adieu," she said cheerfully to the patrons, and stepped out into the cool night air.

ooc- the call of the poptarts..

(ooc: The call of the pop-tarts...? Is it hunting season already?)

Moralae

Moralae grinned and reached out to muss your hair again. She then clamored up and motioned for you to follow her with one hand. "Come on!"
The spritely lady led you to the very edge of Pnay, pointing to an empty wooden latice leaning against the backside of a house. It looked as though it could easily be scaled. Moralae rubbed her hands together, stuck her tongue out of the corner of her mouth, and then tackled the obstacle, climbing up to the roof of the home in just a matter of moments. She then crouched on the black shingles, waiting for you to do the same.
When you made it up onto the roof she grinned and motioned for you to follow again. "Come on Pathris! It's just a few roofs over!"
Jumping from roof to roof wasn't too hard for your dexterous frame, and you managed to get to the roof of the darkened clothier without falling and maiming anything, though you did almost slip and bash your nose on the shingles at one spot. Moralae had made it to the final roof a fair bit before you, seeming to be a bit more in practice. When you finally made it to the last roof she was sitting on the chimney edge twiddling her thumbs. Keeping all of her focus on a thumb war between her own appendages, she muttered, "So... You wanna slip in the back window, or shall we slide down the chimney?"

(ooc: Ryukari has officially made it to standard typing rank. He'll be in goldenrod)

Ryukari

Ryukari immediately lept up to follow Skye, his energy never seeming to wane for a moment. He shivered a little bit as a cool breeze gusted up his hair, and he crossed his thin arms over his chest to warm himself. He stood next to Skye, peering toward the tavern a moment to make sure Turgon was following, then said, "Esi kagera yf nice. But ty makes nua eso si treo." He turns his gaze up to Skye and grins. "Ond should find o kagera nuth Skye upo lotho si senf awro." He then added as a final note, "Fus lotho very rual Skye. Fus should become o deszeld some eyisp."
