Hey guys. I was wondering, for those who read the WoT series and enjoy them, if you would like to try a little WoT rp...not with major characters, mind you, that would get WAY out of hand, lol. But make up your own. Say, an Aes'Sedai, for instance. I was thinking that the time setting should be wither when Rand is around 5, where he is currently(but we would not invlove him in anyway), or AFTER he breaks the world, although what the world is like after that would be left up to us
A small requirement:
You must be familiar with the WoT series

Depending on what time setting, you could be an Asha'man as well...its left up to you...

But if youre interested, post here, and we can fine tune the details, and set a plot

lets play when he is younger that way we can be rogue male wizards battling to try and stay sane, yet hidden so we don't get stilled or killed that could be pretty cool.

That would be fun. I wanted to have it in his current time or future for the sake of Asha'man though, because I was planning on having one as a warder...hmm...Not to say I couldn't have a man who channels without the taint, i'm cool either way...but then i couldn't because the Reds would still you..hmm. Calth, your input?

The Asha'man werent around before Rand formed them - any men that channeled were either False dragons - and gentled, or killed - if they werent false dragons, they went gentled anyway or killed - also, when Rand was 5, it was shortly after the Aiel war - about that throne thing n tree of life or whatever? - anyway, if we set it then - no-one could play as Aiel...

we jsut dont want to make it where it would have to have any involvement of rand or anyone, maybe just soliders in the army with somone acting as DM that would lead us on our goals, be it find some special item or something like that, would it be with stats? if so what rules 2nd or3rd ed? or is it just a general RP. anyone have any suggestions.

Hmm... it sounds difficult no matter what. The easiest way would be to do it when Rand was younger, but it would severly limit character types (at least the more powerful ones ya'll want to play). To set it where the books are now would mean that Rand and co. would have to be involved in the plot in some way (there is no way that anything going on during this time isn't affected by the Dragon). And to do it after the breaking would be difficult because we don't know what it will be like afterwards.

But I certainly like the idea. I just don't know how one would pull it off.
