IC- Skye heard an ominous creaking noise, and gave a small curse in elven. "Well, either I can jump into the multiple jaws or death, or fall into the multiple jaws of death," she commented wryly while reaching for her sword. She stood up and one of the fiendish monsters growled. Unsheathing her sword and balancing on the branch, about to snap, she called "Alright, come and get me!" and readied herself for the time when the branch gave out.

Just as the branch was due to break dropping skye into deaths jaws a pair of arms reached around her waist from behind and she heard in an all to familiar voice " Now this would not due to have my favorite bard drop down there" and in a flash she and Elif were back inside the temple. "Play a good battle song, tonight we fight"

OOC: Lets liven this thing up a bit, shall we?

IC: The glowing moonblade glides quickly back into Alasdair's hand, though near-pitch darkness proved to be a set-back, you could hear the growling stop, as the sound of a severed limb fell to the ground. "Come on, Talthus! There're too many of them!" said Alasdair frustradedly. He quickly dashed through the trees for the Temple, and is halted by a tall figure. The figure cracks a sun rod, the quick flash blinds Alasdair for a moment... Regaining sight, he noticed that the figure was no longer there. The section of the woods with the creatures was brightly illuminated by the rod, Talthus was still fighting the horde while trying to escape... Who was the figure? Upon that thought, Alasdair noticed the figure behind a large number of the creatures... It took only a few moments for him to whisper a spell under his breath.

The wind violently picked up, though only in that section of the woods. Most of the creatures were hoisted into the air, while others began to run away. Alasdair send his blade flying into another of the beasts, a few others quickly trampled over it... Alasdair calls for Talthus once more, and thanks the dark figure under in his mind. He begins running for the temple once more... "Who was that?" He thought to himself. "...Perhaps he is from the temple."

Alasdair reaches the temple, and runs in to tell (Whoever posts next) of what just took place, and leans against the wall, slightly winded, waiting for a reply.

OOC: Bored to tears people, let's use this for awhile

Skye thanked Elif profusely, then leaned against the wall, tuning up her harp. She looked up in surprise when Alasdair burst in, quickly followed by Talthus. She walked over to them and bowed. "Thank you for trying to help me," she told them, then listened to Alasdair's story. She frowned slightly. "I don't recognize that discription fitting anyone from here.." she said. "Maybe Elif will know the person you speak of."

Alasdair looks up to Elif sternly. "Not far from the temple, he happened to save our lives within the forest after being attacked. As you say, he could have been merely a passer-by but seemed a little... fit to the road, one would say." He shrugs. "He couldn't be too far away now, as its only a short run to the point."

Then let us be off Gaurds secure the temple in my abscence, there still intruders amongst us." with that said he quickly crosses the distance to the door's of the temple, "come on, let's go.

OOC: wow, maybe this will actually go somewhere!

IC: Talthus stands quietly outside the doors facing the last creature. It bares it's teeth and gives a low guttural growl and slowly approaches faster and faster. Now in a light trot it begins to run and jumps towards Talthus's chest. Talthus quickly sidesteps the beast and prepares for the next jump. The beast lands hard and digs its claws into the ground. Turning on Talthus it growls again and dives once more hitting nothing but air. It lands...and collapses without a sound. Talthus rolls to his feet and cleans his blade on the beast's fur. Sheathing it, he stares at the large red line over the beast's heart where his sword met its target.

Talthus turns towards the door and breathes deeply as he opens the doors to find Elif and Alasdair standing infront of him. "Time to go?"
