wow, my music soothed someone! *string suddenly snaps with a twang* eep. *wince* -.-

IC- Skye was still playing softly when she sensed a creature beneath her in the shadows.. and a none too friendly one either. She trailed her song off, and looked down apprehensively. The moonlight glittered off blood shot eyes that glistened menacingly at her. 'Ok.. good job Skye!' she silently congratulated herself sarcastically. 'No one to hear you scream out here.. but maybe...' She started plucking at her harp again, and started to sing of her plight, hoping that someone was near enough to here and that the beast below was too stupid to catch on.

OOC- there could be any number of these monsters.. whatever the evil things are. [img]smile.gif[/img] have fun Talthus! lol

IC: "wait a minute, I hear something..." Talthus quietly drops from the tree.

"It's someone playing a harp...it sounds like...I'm not sure, but there's definately something wrong about it. I'll be back"

Talthus whistles and he and Exar disappear into the shadows of the trees. He stealthily moves through the trees without making a sound to where the song was coming from. He skilfully climbs a tree close to him and moves a few trees away from the obviously worried Sky. He glances down to notice a pair of gleaming eyes staring at her. He prepares for the beast to make a move...

As time slowly passed, Alasdair grew more anxious. Why did the music stop? Was Talthus alright? The Half Elf grew worried, leaping from the tree his blade zipped to his hand so fast it seemed that it had sliced the air, and slowly... the blade began humming. Alasdair quickly followed the footsteps Talthus had made, and saw Talthus waiting silently and sternly for the beast to make a move. Alas, it wasn't moving, nor was he, though Alasdair could see the flare of readiness and anticipation in both of their eyes. Slowly Alasdair extended his arm, the blade pointing at the beast... As his arm came to a stop, beams of moonlight was directed at the beast, revealing its appearance. A sweat rolls from his brow as he sees...

OOC: Anyone wanna take this one? LOL Sky, it was graceful while it lasted? [img]tongue.gif[/img]

As Talthus notices that Alasdair has arrived, he sees that light has been shone on the beast. He looks directly at it seeing that it's a...a......A..............A SQUIRREL!......................................... ...............but what's that behind the squirrel? Talthus looks behind the squirrel to see a hint of a pinkish-red face with huge fangs. Talthus turns to Alasdair "I'd say it's a krenshar, but there are usually more so keep your eyes open."

Talthus slowly slides his sword out of it's sheath oh his back. He then moves with incredible silence out on a branch next to the beast...then disappears...

OOC: heheheh, this will be interesting

hope this livens it up some.

IC- Skye could sense someone behind her, hopefully friend and not another foe. Unfortunately, the beast or beasts may have sensed it or them too. She gave the teeth a worried look as a piece of drool fell, then looked conciously at the moon, staring at it as if waiting for it to fall out of the sky. Her song unconiously became a little agitated, reflecting her feelings.

OOC- have fun. [img]smile.gif[/img] I'll join in the fight once its started, heheh.

Talthus is nowhere to be seen as the shadows of the great trees get darker and darker. Just then, there is a sudden blur of dark steel across the beast's back from the right side of it. Talthus's sword smashes the krenshar's spine and tears through the other side in a spray of gore, but his sword is spotless...

From the trees around you, you can hear growls getting more fierce and louder. Talthus pulls up his blade from the dead krenshar and readies himself for the oncoming attack...

Alasdair drifts into the shadows, throwing his blade far into the air. It illuminates, lighting the area... Yet leaving Alasdair unarmed. He remained still and calm im the shadows, and waited for the beasts to make a move.
