(Sees Eliza standing expectantly at his side.) "I want you to meet Princess Eliza, my esquire and one of the sweetest women it has been my pleasure to know."

ELIZA (She blushes at her Lord's praise, and starts to reply modestly, but suddenly is filled with concern for this woman. She is rocked a bit, for this is a quite new feeling for her. She has worried about herself, quite a bit, and Blandamour, but this feeling of pity for someone that she does not know is a novelty. Quickly, she reaches into her pack, pulls out a cloak, and covers her semi-nakedness.) "My dear Lady Roxanne, so pleased to finally make your acquaintance, but we must see to your hurts. Have the beasts been beastly to you. Come on, let us leave this awful place."

SIR BLANDAMOUR "Er, yes. Come along, Roxanne, we will get you outside. I'm sure, with as many ladies as we have here, we can find some suitable clothes for you. And, I saw a lovely pool, about ten minutes ride form here. Eliza, would you take her and clean her off a bit?"

Verloren rode up to Sir Blandamour, "If you don't mind Eliza, I would accompany you to the lake. This arrow wound needs to be cleaned quickly...and I need to get all this vile orc blood off my skin before it taints it." She touched her leg lightly and winced

LADY ROXANNE (Casts a wan smile on Eliza and Verloren) "I shall be glad to clean up and get on some decent clothing, but, first, brother, you must know that the vile beasts have been systematically abusing me. A captive of such should expect such treatment, and I would have killed myself if they had not knocked me unconscious and deprived me of the means. But, I feel this was more than just beastly lust. They would always go in that alcove over there, first, and come out with a determined look on their faces, then open my cell and do their worst. I wish that you would look into that. I fear there is some dire plan afoot, and fear more that I may be pregnant with some half-beast."

SIR BLANDAMOUR (He is aghast at the idea that his noble sister should have endured such treatment, and more so that she might be bearing a half-orc. He sternly controls these feelings. What is done is done, and the perpetuators dead. But, this was most unusual behavior for orcs. He steps boldly into the alcove, to see an altar scrawled with foul symbols, with the skull of some beast that he does not recognize suspended above it, It glows weirdly. Then, as he studies it, a voice emanates from it.)

SKULL "Well, what have you to report? Wait, you are no orc. A prisoner, then, forced to look at me for your torment? No, you are armed and not bound. Where are my servants? Ahh, do not say that you have killed them. How could you have gotten into there? The dragon's spells should have kept you out.... Wait, they are gone. Have you killed him then? No, I sense that he still lives." (Screams) "And you have freed my bride. My bairn, she bears it. Noooo, this cannot be...." (The voice fades out, leaving Blandamour dumfounded.)

ELIZA (She has wandered into the alcove behind her Lord just in time to hear the skull speak.) "But, my Lord, what does it mean? Who is speaking? What does he mean, his baby? The orcs are the only ones..." (tails off to see Lady Roxanne standing just behind her, is too embarrassed to say more.)

SIR BLANDAMOUR (He is flushing darkly, a dangerous sign to those who know him well.) (To Eliza) "What I think that it means is that we have uncovered a dangerous and evil plot, one long laid, that closely concerns my honor and my family's." (Turns to Roxanne) "Sister, it pains me to ask such a thing, but this shows that I must. Was any but the orcs guilty of the crimes against your body? Some wizard or such. I know that it must be difficult, but think. And yet, if you did bear the heir of his body, why would he allow the miserable orcs access" (he makes a face) "to you? It makes no sense. One thing, though, is clear. We must talk to Kinn'zuwannik again. And this time, Princess Verloren, you may not be deprived of your revenge upon him. For it seems there is more to this than the matter of a vase." (To Sanael) "Good Ranger, you can travel fast and undetected. Can you get to the Dragon's den and see what visitors he has? For, they may give us a clue."

He starts walking towards the cave opening

"I will just gather my equipment - then I will be off. Meet me near the druids grove."

SIR BLANDAMOUR "We must get Roxanne clear form here nad out of his grasp, whoever he is. That much is ver clear. Let us rest up and heal our wounds, then it is ho back to Tarashia, while Sanael scouts out the dragon. Besides, I need to talk to Sir Bors." (Glances at Eliza) "About your friend, Lilyblack, among other things."

*The scene changes. It is the night of this day. Greentunic is sitting around the hearthfire in great content, watching Diana, his daughter newly restored to him, brush her growing head of long, green hair, as her lover Sancha gently plays the lute. She is now much more kempt, as much of her dishevelment was due to her being distraught over Diana's condition, but she still has lice. She seeks to live in harmony with them and all nature. Their peace is shattered when a deer skull mounted over the hearth suddenly speaks, saying, *"Greentunic, my old comrade, I have more work for you. Your enemies the Paladins have robbed me of my bride, pregnant with my child. They must venture close to your stronghold. If you hurry, you and your wolves may catch them, kill all of them except my Roxanne, dearest of wives, and return her to me. My gratitude will be great, and rewards numerous."

GREENTUNIC "And how, old skull, would you expect me to do that? I have already failed against this group, and now they are stronger than ever, having added the Princess Verloren to their numbers, while we are decimated. No, I do not think I will be leaving my fireside for a while."

SKULL (Attempts a sweet, persuasive tone, though the results are ghastly) "But, you mistake, mighty Greentunic. The mage has left their company, as has the Psionic. Surely, a mighty people like yours could do me this least of favors, and retun to me my sweet wife. Think, what torments they may be visiting on her now. And my son, he may never be born, so sadistic are their tortures."

GREENTUNIC (Nods at Diana, who is regarding the skull with unfeigned horror.) "I am sorry for your dear wife, but surely one as powerful as you can get a new one. But, I will not risk another round with Blandamour of the Iron Arm. My daughter is restored to me, and I want her alive and whole. No, Peven, find another place to help you."
