OOC: Dunno. Anything that will develop the story further and in interesting ways is fine with me (and I suppose with Morguerat, too). Can be a special ritual, or a special journey into another plane, or whatever. Hey, you've read Tolkien, you should have some interesting ideas. Or do you want me to continue the story first?

And BTW, what happened to your sig? Edited it? (Come on, follow my example and use a bodybuilder pic for your sig, too! )
Sorry K T, had some sig "trouble" but i put a new one. Better work, first time I'm seeing if it works. Yeah, I did read Tolkien, and still am, up to The Two Towers. I'm all out of ideas for the story, so I'm waiting for Morgeruat or you, to give me ideas. But I'll do the StoneRock stuff. But uh, shouldn't you be continuing Rufus, its awfully rude for me to interupt you or do you want me to continue.

ooc: To SecretMaster ~ I won't mind at all if you continue. Please be my guest.

Okay, how about this? Maybe StoneRock must specially forge and prepare a dagger (might involve some ritual), anoint it with Morguerat's blood and plunge it into the heart of the Dark Knight... Just an idea, you might have your own.

Sorry to hear about your poison ivy attack, BTW. Take care. Try some aloe vera.

Nice sig pic you got there.

Ghzarbanan the halfling was on a quest. He came from a long line of noble warrior halfing/knights called the Order of the Tiny Sword. They were few in number but their ferociousness in battle, for halfling's anyways, had earned them quite a bit of respect from the surrounding community as well as up and down the sword coast. They protected churches of good alignment, and generally thwarted wrong-doer's all around, So when the order heard about an advancing army of evil necromancers, they knew that they must help. Ghzarbanan had been on a religious journey, to find the legendary stone 'the eye of god', which he did successfully return with. While he was away the Order of the tiny sword met with the armies of the dark horde. The outcome was as to be expected. The dark horde swarmed over the army of noble paladins killing every last one of them and burning down their temple and all the churches that it protected. A day after the battle was when Ghzarbanan got home to find the ashes of his temple still burning. Ghzarbanan spent a week in mourning at this point and wandered the surrounding mountains without food, water, or shelter praying to his God asking him what to do next. At the end of the week Ghzarbanan has a vision, a sign from his God. He was to hunt down the leader of this dark horde and ensure his demise. Ghzarbanan gathered what supplies he could from the razed local villages, as well as his trusty short sword 'Stain' and dagger 'Stinger', and set out on the trail. The trail had lead him far and wide, all he saw was the destruction that the horde had caused. He had heard of a man that might be able to help him, and he was on his way to his house now. When he got there he saw that it was shrouded in darkness. Ghzarbanan quickly drew his weapons, and help them at the ready as he knocked on the door to the wizard's home. Maybe the dark knight did take this castle, but that doesn't mean that there still isn't any decent people inside in his evil clutches, that need to be rescued.

OC: sorry i thought i would add a little touch to this thread. ghzarbanan is a dual weilding halfling knight. He is a pretty tough little guy, but sometimes he thinks he is a lot tougher than he actually is, and this can get him into trouble at times. he wears "the eye of god on a necklace around his neck, under his clothes. The jewel is very mysterious and not much is know of its powers, but it is only usable by those of the order of the tiny sword.
Im going to play a bad guy too, if thats cool with everyone, the character's specifics have yet to be determined. ) ie check PM

Welcome back Azrael!!!

IC> StoneRock runs to the door and opens it. Ghzarbanan lunged at him, but StoneRock dodged his attack. "Who in Clangeddin's Hammer are you, and why ye be botherin us at this Hour and Attackin us. Ye better have an explanation!!!!!

Ghzarbanan> "I am Sir Ghzarbanan, Serving the Order of the Tiny Sword. I come to rid the evil of the Black Knight's that have taken over this building! But why would you fare Cleric, worship Clangeddin?"

StoneRock> "We haven't succumbed to the Dark Knight's powers yet, this is merely a disguise to protect us, so come in before ye blow our cover!"

Khadgar> Khadgar and Magnus were in chatting, when the went to see who was at the door.
"Eh, who's the stout fellow here?"

(ooc: Uhhh... Azrael, you say that Ghzarbanan's going to be a bad guy. Now how does that square with the fact that he's supposed to be from a religious order that 'protected churches of good alignment, and generally thwarted wrong-doer's all around', and that he was trying to find out if 'there still isn't any decent people inside in his evil clutches, that need to be rescued'? )

"Ah, excellent, Rufus!" said Magnus happily as he took the book before turning back to StoneRock. "What does it involve, StoneRock?"

"It involves forging a dagger out of an exceedingly rare mineral found only below the fiery volcanoes to the far West, and anointing the dagger with the sap and nectar of the Golden Rose, a flower sacred to Clangeddin and found only in the most remote reaches of the Northern Ice. The dagger must then be plunged into Sir Morguerat's heart and extracted, and within three days it must be plunged into the Dark Knight's heart as well. Then the Dark Knight will be cleansed of all evil and merged back into the noble paladin's soul, and he will be made whole again."

"You're joking," said Khadgar incredulously. "Aren't you going to kill Sir Morguerat by plunging the dagger into his heart?"

"Not if you do it right," replied StoneRock. "And that's the difficult part of it. It must be done right, and by a high priest of Clangeddin, such as myself. The timing must be perfect. Once the knife is pulled out, the otherwise mortal wound will instantly heal and Sir Morguerat will be fine."

"But even then would we have time to find the required ingredients and forge the dagger?" asked Rufus. "Our first priority should surely be to defeat the Dark Knight and his minions -- to say nothing of rescuing any people who even now may be falling prey to them."

StoneRock was momentarily silent. "There might still be a couple such specially prepared daggers left in my temple, actually," he recalled suddenly. "We may not have to forge a new one after all."

Magnus turned to Sir Morguerat. "What say you, Sir Morguerat?"

"I..."

Just then a knocking sound was heard coming from the door. "Who could it be?" said Rufus with surprise.

Chun-Li quickly stared in the door's direction, eyes glowing green again. "Do not fear," she said to everyone, "it is not the Dark Knight's minions."

"It can't be," joined Magnus. "Not with the wards against evil I placed around the keep."

Rufus went to the door and opened it. He looked around. No one.

"Down here, stupid!"

Rufus looked down. It was a diminutive halfling!

"Oh, hello, friend!" said Rufus with delight. "Who are you?"

"I'm Ghzarbanan," squeaked the halfling. "I have sworn to destroy the Dark Knight and his minions, and rescue or avenge all those who have fallen before them. Are you being captured by his forces? This place is shrouded with their dark aura!"

Then the halfling noticed Chun-Li and his eyes went wide. "Certainly enough -- one of the Dark Knight's minions! Chaaaaaarge!!"

K T, he meant that he'll also RP a bad guy, with a good guy too. I think you got confused.

(ooc: To SecretMaster ~ I misunderstood Azrael then. So he wants to play two characters -- a good one (the halfling) and a bad one. I see. Hmmm, Azrael always likes to play bad guys, doesn't he?

Hope you recover from the poison ivy soon BTW, SecretMaster.)

OOC: good ideas for the cure, and I will be RPing the hordes of monsters(with appropriate help) that must be fought off, or circumvented to get to the dark knight. I'll post more when I have time.
