Irenicus had some very nice lines, but Sarevok ruled. He wrapped himself in mystery, became a duke almost, and almost created a gigantic war, just for the hell of it.

Sarevok was so much more interesting because you didnt know who he was or the real reasons he was doing anything. Also his plot was way more complicated so therefore more interesting.

The beginning video in bg1 with Sarevok is one of my favorites. His truely evil. While Jon is just flashing through the screen like a stoned bitch.

Joneleth because he was dating Ellisime and then dumped her and went mad. I can see his point of dumping her. I hate all elves. Sarevok is just a big brute who wants to be special like you with your godly powers of Bhall. Now what I would really like to see is Irenicus get outta Hell and then Sarevok and him gang up on you in a BG3!

IRENICUS ROCKS! sure the first sequence in bg1 rocked (im so sooooorry *hehe time for fun* that you feel that way old man etc etc)
but think of irenicus scripted scenes...all those cinema-like instant kills (I cannot be caged *kapow* I cannot be controlled *kapow*)...and besides, the question was about who was coolest in CHARACTER, not the plot...and so Irenicus wins by far because hes a mage and shows of all those lovely instant kill spells with low casting time and Sarevok is just a brutish fighter type (although in the intro for BG1 he does an impressive move on the tower,which, in case you havent noticed, can be visited and the broken part can actually be seen.) that,although he is a master of plotting, is way to plain...maybe a "slayer like" change would have helped him...and about you guys saying that he was tough...i thought he was EASY! a lone (almost) warrior cant put ANYTHING up against a party with 4 mages (i always travel with ALOT of mages) who simultaneously bombard him with offensive spells while two fighters suck up all the damage he did in melee...so i would say JON IRENICUS is the cooler in CHARACTER but the Iron Throne/Sarevok thing was definitely a cooler plot...youll have to excuse me repeating myself so many times in this post, its 8 am here and ive been up for two nights in a row without sleeping at all so...

Sarevok, his ambition was far grander than Irenicus'. Irenicus wished to be an Elf again, and to be immortal. Sarevok, he aimed higher, being a just as normal as you were.
Irenicus had the powers of being a god damn grand Elven mage, Sarevok had to start at the bottom, just like the main character.
He managed to get into the Iron Throne, and ended up ruling it, and was about to become to mother ■■■■■■■ lord of murder incarnate!
Take THAT Mr.Immortality from the life of tree!

This might be leanin a bit 2wards ToB but what did all ToBers think about Melissan??? I reckon her whole good act was much too suspicious... she had me fooled in Saradush but after that she was far to 'nice' to be good.

lets look at the strong pointsof each

Sarevok: extremely strong SOB, has a whole crapload of mercenaries that try to kill you, he even is kinda hard but he and his group are nothing if u have the proper spells like haste and invisibility. also if u have a fighter thief and swallow a potion of storm giant strength u coul pretty much kill him wiht a backstab. i played a solo wit a fighter thief and killed him

Irenicus: god damn arch mage, has awesome lines, sister is basicaly the queen of the damned,dated ellisme,has all those cool spells that kill anyone. his rapture of the father while u are in the asylum where he kills all those thiefs.although he is pitifuly easy to kill if u have proper spells he is awesome. i had three mages cast at one time 1.) ruby ray 2.)pierce magic 3.) chained breach, greater malison, and lower resistance. and then set off three minor sequencers with lighting, and spell trigger with 2 magic missiles and he was pratically dead. with my level 16 paladin with carsomyr he was screwed

take that u f****** mage [img]graemlins/finger.gif[/img]
