He had enlisted. He was to wait at the Inn, where they would recruit everyone during the morning. He sat at a table with his fellow recruits. "I'll be going to bed now, big day tomorrow" Said Lance as he raised from his seat, departing with newfound friends...

I stepped back "Who the???" I managed to croak out.The dwarf jumped of the top of a building falls a some horse crap... "Ew not the way I wanna fall of a building!" I laughed and walked passed him...

"I... I think so." ~ She winces even as she pronounces the words ~ "Thank you... for saving my life." ~ Giving a rueful smile, she adds ~ "Looks like I'm not quite prepared for the real world, am I?"

Then bites her lips in consternation ~ Mistral, when are you going to learn to keep your mouth shut? ~ It is a curse, this essence within her... that love of true freedom, doing just as one likes ~ "Harness your powers, well." ~ So Master had advised. Yet it seems that she has learnt nothing since their parting two years ago.

As the slight discomfort of the situation continues, she hurriedly returns her gaze to the elven woman ~ Those sparkling green eyes seem to be filled with some strange emotion... I wonder what she wants with me.

Aloud, Mistral now speaks again ~ "Forgive my presumptions, but I sense that you've been following me, my friend." ~ Nearly wincing at the last word, she hastily continues ~ "If that is the case, I hope you would not mind telling me what you would have with me."

Nervously, she bends down to retrieve the quarterstaff she had released in her moment of panic and now clutches it with both clammy hands.

The Metropolis of Rhykatam, An undiscovered alley

Good thing she never really believed in most customs of society. Skye sighed, and shook her head. Now she really wished that Lyulfe was here... even if he wouldn't know what to do, she could at least dump the baby problem with him. "What a mess you've gotten yourself into... and how typical," she said aloud, half mockingly. The child quieted slightly at her voice. Hesitantly picking it up, she fished through her pockets, looking for something to feed the little ragamuffin(sp?). Finding nothing, she looked back at it. "Well, before we go anywhere, I better put some sort of strong cloaking spell to make you elven or human, so there's no rumours spread. Don't want to draw more attention then need to, eh?" Rummaging through her things again, she pulled out an old spell, and spoke it. The child's elven appearance disapeared, and it looked somewhat like a normal human baby. with a cherubic face, the child had jetblack coloured hair and azure eyes. "There, much better," Skye said with satisfaction, holding the baby up. It cooed in her arms, as Skye suddenly frowned slightly, turning the baby around. "Argh!" she yelled in annoyance, spotting the two oddly protruding lumps in the child's back. "You would be the flying elf type, wouldn't you?" she sighed again, and modified her spell slightly, to cover the tiny bluegray downy wings. "You are just the lucky one, aren'tcha Skye..." she muttered to herself. "Well, lets go visit some of my friends, and get you fed little one," Skye addressed the baby, and walked back through the city to visit a friend of hers, that she knew professed in this sort of business.

With his friend gone in search of some privacy and a bath tub and business being quite slow today, Aoisan decided to pack up his stand and go to Liril's Temple to pay his respect to the Goddess and to pay the resident Archdruid, his old tutor, a visit.

Arleth and Savannah, Mosreed

-Hey, Savannah! *Arleths voice had a happy tone*
"Arleth. Good to see you again!"
-How are you?
"Well, that was kinda why I came here. I need your help"
-Why, whats wrong? *Arleth had a worried look*
"I've been kicked out as protector of Hyrgendale" *Hyrgendale was Savannahs town*
-What! Why?
"Well, it started this day..." *Savannah sounded embarrased, almost crying*
"I was on my usual patrole around the city. Everything was just normal; I thought." *Savannah took a deep breath here before she continued*
"But suddenly, big ropes got thrown over the walls, and many big, scary creatures climbed up! I did my best to hold them back, but they were to many! After a while, all of them had come over the wall. And the people couldnt flee either, cause then the creatures would have taken them. So the creatures threw me out, and enslaved the people. Ohh Arleth, I need your help! We must get these...these..... things out!"
*Arleths face was surprisingly calm.*
-Do you remember how they looked? The creatures?
"Well, I was very scared, but I their faces was covered with thick hair, and had yellow eyes."
-Sounds like werewolfs
"But it werent! They were more like humans!"
*Arleths face now had a confused look. What were those things, and why would they attack Savannahs village?

Being a bit more calm now at this news, Murdock decides to take a quick look at his supposed captor. From boot to the top of her head, she was certainly a woman! If she was not so...talented...she would definately be a choice on his menu for fine cuisine dining.

"Ok, so...if you are not going to turn me into the guards...why the interest in me? ...You want something, right? Go ahead and tell me; I'm thirsty and would like to be on my way, if you know what I mean."

Relaxed from her bath, Crystal sat to write her long time friend the letter she knew was long overdue. Setting a plate of cheese and fruit at her left hand, she reached for parchment and quill to begin.

"Dearest Nero,

You are an idiot! As if the kobolds would give you a moment to pen me a note!

Life is quiet indeed in Serinaquei, quite different than being on adventure! The days seem to blend into one another. Down to the Serenity, keep the customers happy, Ronish tells me to be careful of rogues on the way home, then tomorrow it's all the same.

But I did listen to a beautiful singing at the Temple of Meshry last week on Her fest day! For all their dandy ways, those bards can charm the birds from the trees! I left the temple grounds with a light heart and a smile, even gave some gold in your name as well just for good measure.

Even the market is well-mannered.....yesterday a young child, no more than four or five, tried to steal on apple. She was caught, of course, but when she turned her big blue eyes all filled with tears onto the merchant, he immediately gave her the fruit and apologized for making her cry! Now *that* girl has a bright future with the guild if she sees fit.

You should come, my friend, and see the cottage I've managed to procur for myself. You'd never believe the Crystal of old could have such a grand place! More room than we ever dreamt. Fireplaces in every room to warm by in the winter and the biggest bath! You *know* how I enjoy washing the dust of the road away. Of course, with all your luck, you'd show on my threshhold whilst I was off on a grand adventure and have to sleep in the garden shed.

Even so, living here in such a decent city, I long for something different. Perhaps I should have been a bard instead, wandering from town to town, singing the tales. Couldn't you just picture it? I couldn't carry a tune if I had *two* buckets! I've been thinking of going to Karamikay next week....nothing important, just a day trip, something to relieve a little wanderlust.

Well, I'm off to catch well-earned sleep now, dear Nero. Hair's almost dry and the sky is just beginning to brighten as I write. Perhaps a few hours and then I shall write more before sending this on. Give them all a kiss for me and I *do* miss them all.
