An Honourable Guild of Swords Adventure

Turning to Morgan~Aye, my good man surely I can spare a bit a the grapes for all my companions that wish it.~Hands flask to Morgan~I'm not sure how far it is to Churchland, I'm not from around these parts. Barb or one of the others will know.~Goes over to start a fire with the wood he gathered.

"thank you Dresdan" Morgan replies. "I havent had fey-wine since the celebration of my graduating the BladeSinger Accademy".handing the flask back to Dresdan, Morgan moves to help with the fire. "might you need some fire, my good man?" Morgans finger starts to glow a slight red, as small flames stroup from his index finger. "i have PLENTY to spare", Morgan replies with a hearty laugh. "i think i will go out and get us some food, im famished, and need some sleep. i will take first watch of all the gear and men. we should rest, we have a long ride to Churchland in the morn." with that, the dark dressed elf moved into the woods, going to fetch the eves meal.

Yawn. Um, I've been looking at my map and have just remembered something. Churchland is exactly 1mile away! Unfortunately, there is a slight problem of a river. A wide river blocks the way. The only way to get round this, is my taking the underground tunnel which was made many centeries ago by dwafen fighters in their battle with the magma golems of Churchland.

Well, I propose that after Morgan gets back with some food, we eat then get some rest. Morgan said he would take first watch, I'll take the second watch. When we get up we can check out these tunnels and see if they are still safe to pass through. What say you Barb?

returning to the camp, Morgan has a look of grim news. "i have retrieved a two rabbits on my hunt, but there is a problem. while looking for them, i came accross tracks. ORC tracks to be exact. i couldnt tell how many, but i know it to be a few. i kept an eye out for them, but they couldnt be far, the woods were silent, and still. that is why i only caught two rabits. i suggest anyone on watch be especially watchfull tonight. i also came accross another obstacle. there is a WIDE river up ahead, not too far from here. there doesnt appear to be any way around it. i can get to it with magic, but i dont have enough to get us all, and our horses over, so i will have to find another way around with the rest of you." handing the rabbits to Dresdan, Morgan took off his gear. he sat down, and tightened up any loose articles, made sure that everything was where it should be, and then took out his dagger, and cleaned the blood from it. then he proceeded to sharpen it, and placed it back in his sheeth. "im going to get an hour of sleep or so. wake me when you all bed down, so that i may start the watch. we will do two hour shifts appease, so that we arent up two time each and every night of our journey." then he put his armor back on. resting his sword on his chest, he put his head onto his pack, and closed his eyes, so that he may fall into the darkness of slumber. "wake me for any problems that may arise, and do not worry about waking me for my meal. if any remains when my watch starts, i will eat it, if not, i have a few article in my pack, so it is of no concern." "Ryn be with us, and we will get back this sword Barb." was the last words from his mouth before he fell asleep.

Hmm, Orc tracks spotted, magma golems, dwarven tunnels, hmm, this sounds familiar. According to dwarven legend, this is an area called Saaul'Raduk. In ancient dwarven tounge, it means "battle of faith" which is what it exactly was. A long time ago, the dwarves occupied the volcano, and it was a dwarven fortress, owned to a proud king named Alth'uc. He was proud, but selfish. He wanted all the gold to be mined, and their construction led below the river, where they upsetted magma golems. So dwarven fighters constructed a bridge, and guarded it. They got attacked often, and then, it is said that evil struck a deal with the Orcs, they offered them armies and gold, only if they destroyed the Orcs, and surprisingly, the Orcs did. Then, selfish as the evil was, it took the promise away from the Orcs, who then got slaughtered by the denizens of evil, but tribes and a few armies remain. But that all happened years ago, no one knows what happened after that, for some of the "knowledge" was lost. I'll tell more stories later, but I need to stand guard.
