OOC: Galen is not a prisoner.

A patrol of Crown Guards arrived the manshion just before you took your leave. They received the news that there was an assult on the lord's home. After marking down your names and a brief description of the encounters, you were sent to the nearest tarven: The Five Dragons Inn. There were few people up this late. The group took some needed rest.

The next morning, they were summoned by Lord Gregor in the Crown Guard headquater in the southern sector of the city.

A mid aged man walked into the room. His plate armor richly decorated, a golden osprey eagle spreading its wings wide, and looking down at a sharp angle. He wore a pair of gualets, strange carved runes circled around them. No helmet, iron warboots. One hand placed on the sheathed long sword with ease. The man had the look of intelligence and determination. He scanned the party and his servant Galen.

"Well met, gentlemen. I am Lord Wolfsheim, commander of the Crown Guards. I know your names. I've heard detailed reports of the personal assault in my manshion last night. A treachery played by my enemies, no doubt. Now before I continue, have you any questions?"

*Yes, Mr Wolfsheim, I was wondering who the hell that bastard that almost killed us, was?!*
Regin was obviously upset..
AS always, he held no respect for authorities, whatsoever.

"I have no question Sire, but I am to seek your advice on a matter of importance by the instructions of my master, Archmage Elsser'rander's."

Lord Gregor Wolfsheim perked at the mention of Odin Magnus's master's name, and Odin continued,

"There has been a spate of unexplained disappearances at the capitol prison during the past few months, and my master had hoped that you could shed some light on it."

Raising a hand, the lord stopped Odin's question "It can wait. See me after this, and we will discuss the matter." As if an after thought, he added "I am touched that Elsser'rander is so concerned about other's business. I hope your master is well?" The sarcaism was almost obvious.

Then he turned his attention to the group in the room. "First of all, I thank all of you for your heroic deeds in defending my reputation and saving many innocents' lives.

I have many enemies. It is a public knowledge. Be them among the wrentched group of the coward backstabing thieves or the more secretive ones, I do not fear them.

However, I awefully regret that the masked assasin escaped. By the descriptions, we have this man's name: Loki. I have my own opinions on this matter; however, Loki is Lord Argiar's legion commander. And Lord Argiar is, by all account, a reputable and respectable man.

I have a request for all of you. To investigate this crime, and bring the true perpetrator, whoever that is, to justice."

There was a silence in the room, and everyone was thinking.

"And to answer your question, Master Armstrong" Lord Gregor addressed the dwarf "Loki was known to possess a pair of magical guanlet that grants him strength beyong human. He is a seasoned fighter and skilled in the Arts, a fearless warrior in combat and a discplined commander. Does that explain your question?"

Byronas thought of the risk this adventure could bring to him and then he remembered that evil smile the masked man had when he killed innocent people. "I am in, Gregor. I have to do it. It is my fault that Loki escaped. The only thing I need is a good sword and some friends to help me." Then Byronas shouted "FOR HONOUR AND GLORY!".

Odin Magnus was a bit miffed. He knew that his master was not exactly the friendliest person in the world, but still... ...

Ignoring the dismissive rub, Odin spoke to Lord Wolfsheim again,

"My mission is currently my top priority. If you can offer assistance and closure on the matter, I may then be able to offer my services to you."

Odin hoped that Lord Wolfsheim could... because if Lord Wolfsheim solved his problems, he could be free, free to go home and plonk on his bed for a week or more if he so desires. He would not require Lucre and he would get a small reward from his master.

Oh yeah... Odin thought.
