Thanks Luvian. I downloaded it and will give it a test run soon. I'll hop on an old game to see if I can access the area worries free. If ya don't hear from me soon, it's either I fell asleep at the keyboard or it works great. Thanks again.

Helm of the Eye

Although few people can make full use of the enchantments on this helmet, anyone can see the obvious value inherent in it. Created by a Calimshite Dwarf as a tribute to Helm, it passed through many hands, some of which added their own enhancements, before it was finally blessed by the god himself. There is a rumor that whatever the wearer of this helmet can see is also visible to Helm, but that may be no more than fancy.....and Helm would probably be able to see it anyway.

STATISTICS:
Infravision (60 feet)
Wearer is immune to Blindness
Cast Detect Invisibility twice per day
Cast Dispel Illusion twice per day
Cast True Sight once per day
Find/Disarm Traps: +15%
Detect Illusion: +20%

Armor Class Bonus: 1
Special: Protects against Critical Hits

Not usable by:
Mage
Thief
Bard
Kensai
Non-Neutral characters

Another helmet.....

Helm of Sanity

This piece of headgear is the result of a joint effort between Taerom "Thunderhammer" Furuim and the mage Thalantyr, both of Beregost. Taerom got the idea for the helmet after a visitor to his smithy told a tale of a warrior he had seen near Nashkel: An enormous, berserk fighting machine, swinging a two-handed sword in one hand and a hamster in the other. The man was clearly insane, at times ready to cleave friend as well as foe. Alarmed, the smith took counsel with Thalantyr, and soon after the Helm of Sanity was crafted.

STATISTICS:
Wearer is immune to all forms of Charm, Confusion, and psionics
Wearer is immune to Rigid Thinking and Feeblemind (except through cursed items)
Casts Good Berries once per day (for the hamster)

Armor Class Bonus: none
Special: Protects against Critical Hits
Not usable by:
Mage
Thief
Bard
Kensai
Monk (can Monks wear helmets? I forget.)

Boo highly approves. Naturally, this led me to wondering. Has anyone ever thought of creating Boo as a fighten companion for Minsc? I'd leave em safe with Minsc, but I'm curious if this has been in the minds of others too.

What do ya think Boo would do? Would he bite, claw, throw stones(acorns), or would he just faint out on the battlefield?

Does Boo even come out? If Boo had familiar type skills, what would they be like? Could he pickpocket? Would he? Can boo really talk, and what voice would he have? What would he say? I imagine em to have this deep voice which is contrary to popular belief of him having a high pitched squeely voice. He'll say something like. " hey maan, whatda ya expect from a hamster who has been stuck in a mildewed pocket for ages. My eyes are burning and my throat is dry. Someone get me some water and mulberry pie, NOW...GROAARRRR!

Minsc says, " Oh my! Boo must get help soon.", and back goes Boo into the dusty confines.

Boo would obviously be a Familiar....either the Rat or Groundhog avatars would be good, I think. Boo doesn't pick pockets, he can go Stealth, and also Backstabs! He can only do it while in Minsc's Quick Slot: Minsc has the Special Ability of Boo Launch--he must be within melee range to use it. Boo's attack does 4d2 damage, Backstab Quadruple damage, counts as a non-enchanted weapon, and casts Blindness in the target (no Save, unless target is wearing a helmet, in which case they get a Save at -2.)
