Just need some advise about items

could somebody give me a good list of items to use, + the bonusses that the weapons/items have.
I need a list for mage, pala and fighter.

I will assume you only want SoA items.

Mage:

Armour: Robe of Vecna( or Robe of Good/Evil/Neutral Archmagi)
Gloves: Bracers of Defence 3
Helmet: Pale Green Ioun Stone
Amulet: Amulet of Power
Rings: Ring of Wizardry, Ring of Acuity( possible to have two Rings of Wizardry legitimately, Ring of Gaxx also noteworthy)
Cloak: Cloak of Mirroring
Boots: Boots of Speed
Belt: Belt of Inertial Barrier

Weapons: Staff of Magi, Sling of Everand, Staff of Rynn

Paladin:

Armour: Red Dragon Scale Armour( Armour of Hart)
Gloves: Gauntlets of Expertise
Helmet: Helmet of Defence
Amulet: Amulet of Power
Rings: Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Earth Control( Ring of Free Action)
Cloak: Cloak of Mirroring
Boots: Boots of Speed
Belt: Girdle of Stone Giant Strength

Weapons: Carsomyr, Crom Faeyr, Aduzedge, Frostreaver
Shields: Sentinel Shield, Shield of Reflection, Shield of Balduran, Shield of Harmony

Sorry, I could give you a list of superbitems but not reachable until end of game or very high level. I guess you are just starting so you dont have money nor experience.
For fighter and paladin: full plate armour (et the beginning), ring+2, helm of balduran, boots of speed, ring of Gaxx, amulet of power, Crom Fayer, Celestial Fury, Avenger for Paladin.
For mage: staff of magi, robe of vecna, ring of acuity, ring of wizardry.

Some of that items need a lot of money or exp. to kill owner, but you asked.

LOL then Keldorn has extra 3 dispel magics and make effect peeling even easier with more frequency!!

Doesn't anyone use the Silver Sword? It is the hardest to acquire, but well worth it. It kills the attacked creature in one blow (25% chance). By the time you get the sword your THACO is low enough to practicly hit every time. So basically the creatures are killed in seconds.

Sorceror & mage
As per Dundee's description but:
I would not bother with the ring of acuity at all because it only gives you:

2 extra second level spells
1 extra thrid level spell
1 extra fourth level spell.

To be honest, you really don't need these extras - esp. as you advance.

No, I would replace that ring with a ring of protection + 2, which gives:

+2 to armour
+2 to all saving throws (far more handy)

Ring of Wizardry is useful for a mage (as Dundee suggests) - but if your charactor is a sorceror, I wouldn't bother either as he has access to sooo many spells anyway. I would give him the Ring of Gaxx in that case:

Armor Class: +2 Bonus
Saving Throws: +2 Bonus
Magic Resistance: +10% Bonus
Special Abilities: Immunity to Disease and Poison
Equipped Abilities: Wearer regenerates 1 hit point every 3 seconds
Special Use: Invisibility, once per day
Improved Haste, three time per day

So, if you combined both Ring of Protection + 2 with the Ring of Gaxx, then you would of course get:

AC +4
Saving throws +4
Magic resistence +10

Definately the way to go for a sorceror, and worth considering for a mage...

i have the Carsomyr sword, and all the other good stuff, but i wanted to hear from u guys that i have the good items to use for my characters, I just miss the ring of Gaxx, but i couldn't find all Kangaxx bodyparts in chapter 2 (and even if I could, I was to weak to kill him I suppose) but thanx again for your lists

Um...one question:
Dundee and Zbyszek, you both say that a paladin can wear the amulet of power..but I can't!
Since both of you are saying they can, I guess there must be some bug in my game?

mines can't wear the amulet either.

BUT - they can wear the "Senate Amulet".
