If I load ToB while I'm playing SoA, will that remove the XP cap for SoA? I'm asking cuz my monk is 20th level now, and I still have a lot of buttkicking to do and wanted all the XP I can get for ToB....
Thanks |

Yes it will, but you won't get retrospective experience, ie if you reach the cap before installing ToB it won't add on any experience you should have got after reaching the cap.

XP cap in SOA is 2,950,000.
Lets say that your experience is 2,900,000. You kill someone and get an extra 100,000 points. In the window, your charactor will only register an XP of 2,950,000 BUT in the file, it is still stored correctly as 3,000,000 points. And everytime you kill something, the stored experience points will continue to rise. The only problem is that you can't benefit from these points until XP cap is raised. If you install TOB, the XP cap will be heightened to 8,000,000 - and now you will have access to your experience points once more. In short, go ahead and install TOB - you will benefit from doing so... |
