I have a friend who is a total Star Wars nuts (Has all the movies, books, etc) and we occasionaly debate which class(Or kit) in Baldurs Gate resembles the Jedi the most.
Personaly, I would say Paladin(Cavelier). But a Lawfull good Kensai/mage would come close as well.
What do you think?

I would say a lawful good (or chaotic evil in the case of dark jedi) fighter/mage/cleric, because jedi's have healing powers as well as mage type powers, and fight pretty well.

kensai, wielding a single sword (sword of balduran! its only +2, but it glows green!)...that glows green or red
the whole no armor thing makes me think of deflecting arrows and such with his sword

green for good, red for evil...or a quarterstaff to make darth maul (is there a red glowing quarterstaff? if not, there should be)

im almost tempted to start a new game with jedi knights, but i'm already playing through 3 games at the moment...so many characters, so little time...

EDIT: added some random thoughts

I would say lawful evil because they still respect order and hierachy within the dark side.......

I agree with jabidas
IMHO Jedi and Sith lords are fighter/psionisists.

Use the IEEP to give weapons a particular color; give the weapon the equipping effect of "change colors by RGB", set the location to 21 (main portion of the weapon), then use 0/255/0/0 for red or 0/0/255/0 for green. I've already done this, because my personal staff is green (just like my font).

Psionics is actually easy in SoA, if you treat psionic abilities like innate spells (which is how they are handled). Mental stun, confusion, domination, mental stabs (causing pain/injury), telekenisis, induced sleep, mind shields, even psionic teleportation are all possible. Telepathy, precognition, and astral travel are not possible.

Both jedi and sith would be fighters with these innate class abilities (a new kit); jedi would be any good alignment and sith would be evil.

By the way, there is no protocol for jedi/sith weapon color; each person may choose their own color, so you don't have to use blue or green for jedi and red for sith.

Jedi are definitely Lawful, I would say It's their choice between Good and Neutral, as they tend to back off and let others deal with things their own way most of the time. As far as weapons, longsword, quarterstaff and the occasional crossbow(blaster substitute) would probably be the primary weapons for them.
