I made an mp-game based on LotR, and I wanna hear your opinions.
Here it goes:

ARAGORN
Human ranger
Lawful Good
++ two-handed sword
++ longbow
++ two-handed weapon style

FRODO
Halfling fighter/thief
Lawful Good
+++ shortsword
+ dagger
++ single weapon style

LEGOLAS
Elven archer
Lawful Good
+++++ longbow
+ two-handed weapon style

GANDALF
Human mage
Lawful Good
+ quarterstaff
+ longsword

ARWEN
Elven priest
Lawful Good
+ katana
+ sling

What do ya think? Shall I dual Gandalf to a fighter at some level? How about Arwen?
Thanks.

see ya!

Nice.
I think that Legolas should be neutral good.The same goes to Gandalf.
You could make Gandalf a fighter dualed to mage to use Glamdring at some mastery.Make him NG as well!

Yes, Gandalf should be at least Neutral Good; I'd say he is Chaotic good since he outright defies Saruman. He is a lot better than one star with long swords. For Legolas, I'd give him proficiency in daggers before I gave him two-handed fighting. As for Arwen, she couldn't be any type of cleric and use a katana. I think she'd be a fighter/mage easy. I just can't picture an elf using a sling, it just seems wrong. I'd have her use at least a short bow.

I'd drop the two-handed skill for Aragorn..get him single weapon style instead..suits better IMO

I too have been unable to resist the call of a LoTR party. Mine was in IWD and consisted of

Aragorn-Human Ranger
Boromir-Human Fighter
Gimli-Dwarven Fighter
Legolas-Elven Ranger
Frodo-Halfling Thief
Gandalf-Human Mage
