K so i'm using viconia for the first time and rather like her. I'd heard that you can romance her but i have had not one peice of dialogue between her and my character. She has spoken to Korgan and Jan and i think Edwin too but she snubs me most viciously.
 I have had her in my party for a good while btw. Does she just refuse too romance a Half-orc? Does she find the idea of a huge muscle bound sword saint of walking death repulsive? I was under the impression that race didn't play much part in the romance plots. cheers guys. ------------------ There is no such thing as normal. Just wierdos with herd instincts. |

Romances only work if your PC is Human, Elf or Half-Elf (aerie may have a thing for Gnomes also, don't ask me why!) I think you can override this with a patch or shadowkeeper or something to activate romance.

You can only get in romance with Viconia if your character is evil.

There are patches/tweaks to remove the racial romance restrictions. They are available at http://members.home.net/mrkevvy/ . Check this site if you face a problem with SoA which the official patch doesn't fix. It's just great...

There is no romance with Viconia for a half-orc without a bugfix from the website I mentioned in my previous post. As far as I remember to make this bugfix work and Viconia interested in Half-Orcs you have to start a new game.
Maybe installing TOB helps too (haven't done it yet), lots of oversights in SoA are corrected in ToB. |

If you use ShadowKeeper find the "Viconia Romance Active" variable and set it to 2 (I think 1 works as well). If not the CLUA syntax is something like this:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("ViconiaRomanceActive","GLOBALS",2) I don't actually know if that is the name of the variable but Jaheira's is JaheiraRomanceActive so I'm guessing it will be similar. Good luck. |

I got a romanc with a half-orc. I have the official patch installed. I didn't really see the point of the romance. You don't get anything out of it.
