Circus

I just got SOA today and thought I was doing OK. However, after getting throught the first two levels into Athkatla, I went throught the circus, killing Kahala (?). However, after the circus returns to normal, I try to exit the only door in the tent and then the game crashes.

Has anyone else experienced this? I downloaded a patch from interplays website, but found it is still happening.
Any ideas?

I never experienced this problem, but a similar trouble occured when I tried to leave the copper coronet after entering.....bloody thing crashed after every exit!!

I solved it by toning down the graphics in the "BG config". If you have a slower machine then I suggest this too.

Otherwise it' might be a driver problem and you need to update your DirectX.

i suffer the occasional crash on exiting an area too. what i do is make sure that the party is all close together, so i dont get "you must gather your party.." and try to ensure i dont leave an area while an effect is in action, such as a healing spell flash, or a speech from one of the npcs.

you can try making your cache size bigger too. 300mb is required for multi, and the game seems to run better at this size anyway. check your config program to see what it is set at. lowering pathfinding also helps, and actually makes party manuovering easier
