Iron Golems

Does anyone know of a better way to defeat Iron Golems? I have to use "Summon Woodland Animals" and have the bears defeat him. Is there another way? I'm trapped in one room of the Planer Sphere and I'm out of that particular spell.

Not certain but how about fire elementals?

If you have a wand of cloudkill use that to kill him, works on all golems.

I REALLY hate golems. Most of them are immune to slings, arrows and bolts and this means you end up fighting them toe-to-toe, running the risk to take up to 40 damage in a single blow. The nastier golems,in my opinion, are the Stone Golems because they haste themselves and slow your party.

You will notice the Iron Golem blocks the smaller Golems, soooo, turn off the AI and tell your Mages to hit the smaller ones first.

Thanks for the help, everybody. I have a wand of cloudkill with a couple of charges left on it, so I'll give that a try.

my fav tacikes with golems are to find the largest one like ada or iron and lure them to doorway and have all the other lessor bunch up behide him and i slaughter them with my tanshinanw bow the one that creates arrows, and it can hit liches, iron, ada, dragons, and basically almost everyone, haven't tested it on the damned floating skull dude.

heh siscraium rocks with a archer, heh its so funny to have an clone and ureself and when youre soloing that clone is big help

and he has like -11 thac0 and my main like -15 thac0 so both always hit and both has greater whirl wind so that translates into 10 hit a round, its unbeliveable how fast mosters fall to my two twins

Golem's have a "weakness" for blunt weapons (espacially war hammers ( and espacially the +1, +4 vs. giantkin (d'Arnise Hold))) That's why those bears could defeat it. Oh, and about that cloudkill stuff, how long does that take instead of a good fighter that wields a warhammer

But then again, I like warriors more anyways
