Going Berserk

It appears as though my main character goes berserk in every fight. When a fight is initiated I lose control of him and I cant get to his inventory... Its like when someone is held. During a fight he may even turn on one of my own party members. I have checked all his magial weapons/armor/etc to see if anything makes him berserk and it doesnt. I have checked his stats, I cant figure it out but it started when I went to the asylum looking for Imoen. Its really annoying and if anyone could help me figure this out, it would be appreciated.

What kind of character are you playing, what weapon are you wielding, what armour, what OTHER weapons are in your quick-slots, etc. Everything, if you would.

Arbanes Sword
Helm of Glory
Bracers of Defense AC 4
Reflection Shield +1
Boots of Speed
Girdle Of Bluntness

My character is a Neutral Good Half-Elf Ranger, reputation 19. Quickslots: Rod Of Resurection. Thanks for the reply, I have also checked his Script, Im not too familiar with scripts but his is set as the same as the rest of the characters. Any further help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't use the Doomplate...just read the writeup on it...not good.

Happens without the doomplate on as well. As for the bracers, I have removed those as well. From what I have read, the slayer occurs somewhere when I meet bodhi... Im in the maze but havent found her yet so I dont know if its the slayer. But its annoying to lose complete control of him during a fight.
