Ok guys I would appreciate if you evaluated my character on a scale of 1-10

Fighter LVL 17 - At the moment in the Drow City

THACO = -8

SAVING THROWS: ALL BELOW 3, SPELLS ONE IS 0 AS IS DEATH/POISON, AND BREATH

LONG SWORD: +++++
AXE: ++
SWORD AND SHIELD STYLE: ++

IMMUNITY TO MIND ATTACKS: CONFUSION, DOMINATION, HOLD PERSON ETC

AC: -10 -17 MISSILES, -16 CRUSHING, -15 PIERCING

50% RESISTANCE TO FIRE
100% SPELL TURNING
REGENERATION
HASTE: BOOTS OF CHEETAH
IMMUNE TO CRITICAL HITS

EQUIPMENT:

ARMOUR OF THE HART +3
HELM OF BALDAURON
DAYSTAR - SOON TO FORGE EQUALIZER
SHIELD OF HARMONY+2
BOOTS OF CHEETAH
RING OF FIRE CONTROL
RING OF REGENERATION
AMULET OF SPELL CONTROL
GAUNTLETS OF WEAPON SKILL
CLOAK OF MIRRORING
GIRDLE OF FROST GIANT STRENGTH - 21

I would say an 8.....but only because i think the cloak of mirroring unbalances the game. Oh and the equalizer sucks. I would leave it out

Coz of my proficiencies I really need a decent longsword.

What would you recommend then??

the best long sword in the game (in my opinion) comes near the end of the game.

yeah blackrazor i've heard, i mean now, my daystar is getting tediously inneficient.

I usually use a combo of one of Roses and the Daystar on my Kensi. (dual weild)
Though i'm putting points into Katana to get Celestial Fury

Innefficiant? With a -8 THACO? I dont think that would be to easy!

Use missile reflection shield, sword of rosses (until you get Blackrazor) and go roast gax for his ring. =) If you plan to use this guy in ToB, you should have run Bastard swords though... Foe bane... *thinks happily*

I think sword of Balduran is good. Your character is great! 9/10.

I'd give him a 7, for two reasons:

1. No kit, straight fighter. You could have had a Berserker without any penalties considering the equipment you use. While enraged you get: +2 to hit, +2 damage, -2 AC. The berserker at this time is immune to charm, hold, fear, maze, imprisonment, stun and sleep. He also gains 15 hit points while enraged.

2. Grand Mastery in Long Swords. IMHO, there are no really good longswords in the game. I think that the Two-Handed swords are generally better in SoA.

Just my opinion...

I'd have to agree with Xod. Should've at least made your guy a beserker. Isn't Blackrazor only a +3? Anyway, Two-handed swords are probably the best group of weapons in the game. Long swords are average. Axes are nice tho..so I give you a 7.5
