Not really a big problem...but annoying.

I'm walking around, saving towns, doing good deeds, etcetera, etcetera, and I notice something. As I turn around, my axe is still on the side facing me. And my shield is always on the side away from me. It's like he's switching hands every time he turns around. Is this unique to lucky me, or is everyone blessed with this?
