Guys who should i keep and not keep

my party is as follows

Me- Fighter/mage
minsc
jaheria
Jan
Aerie
Nadia

I think I should drop nadia, should i pick up Valygar or Viconia? Im also trying to court aerie so would adding Viconia screw that all up? I kinda feel like I should dump Jan also for someone. it just seems that his fighting skills suck and HP are low

First of all Welcome Jediphx (cool name)

Where are you in the game? That is the first question. I don't want to spoil anything for you.........I would say that your party is a little heavy on mage power, so I would drop either Jan or Nalia and pick up another fighter or cleric. I like Keldorn myself. When he gets Carosmyr(sp) he is pretty awesome. Another thing to consider is the alignment you want your party to take. Vic might bit** if your rep is too high......

well im in chapter three, i have cleaned out nadia keep and was about to go do windspear and umar hills before i tackle the vampires at the graveyard for the 3rd quest from the shadow thieves. I think my reputation is 15 I think. What do you think?

I think I might change my name back to my full Jediphoenix, looks better i think

15 is okay for Viconia. Try to drop Jan for Yoshimo and Nalia for Viconia or Keldorn.

Guess sarcasm is lost in text...oops!!

But if u want my opinion, I prefer playing a fighter/mage/thief as my main character. That means you get more flexibility with your party.

If you've finished Nalia's keep, go ahead and drop her (between you, Aerie, and Jan, you have plenty of mage power). Jan is a better thief than Nalia (by far). This will make your party much more versatile, while having a strong amount of mage spells (useful later in the game); you are a fighter/mage, Aerie is cleric/mage, and Jan is a thief/illusionist (thus, touch all bases). Jaheira provides the extra priest spells (plus ones that Aerie and Viconia can't use), and is a better backup fighter than Viconia. Minsc is your main warrior. Dropping Nalia and adding Valygar to this group would actually work quite well. He has an 18 dexterity (making him decent with missiles), and can backstab like a thief. Since Jan is not strong in sneaking around, Valygar would become your main scout/backstabber, plus fights well enough to back Minsc up (put his katana that he comes with in his off hand, and put Celestial Fury in his main hand; he will become a serious force to reckon with!). Viconia WILL cause problems with Aerie (and with any other good-aligned members of your party); she even antagonizes Jan at one point. Go with Valygar, and leave Viconia in the graveyard (or better yet, leave her on the stake).
