The +7 just means that its a better hit. AKA whats the purpose for +5 which is just a better hit.

With a plus 4 weapon you can hit anything. Besides a clay golem with needs a blunt weapon which is magical.

Celestial Fury can also inflict 20 points electrical damage on top of its stun ability, and holds additional bonuses on top of those as well.

Equipped Abilities:
Lightning Strike: Once per day
Blindness: Once per day
Combat Abilities:
Booming Thunder whenever the sword strikes an opponent
(Stun, Save vs. Spell)
Shocking Blow chance when sword strikes an opponent
(5% chance of 20 additional electrical damage)

The best weapon in the game imho. Crom Faeyr just isnt needed and you receive it late anyway, better to use the belt with a fighter or on someone else, particularly if theyre wielding the C.F.

About the multiclassed thief-mage-
The staff of the magi only makes you invisible when you are using it. In fighting, it is only +1, so it would not do much damage if you backstabbed ( if you can backstab with staffs).
