For a challenge and change of pace. Don't you get bored playing the same Fighters, Mages, or Fighter/Mages?
I hope they give Druids some better spells. Druids rocked in Icewind Dale/HOW. In BG2 they have so few offensive spells. |

Bards are excellent at providing support for the other characters - I like my skald, who gives everyone else +2 to hit and damage as well as reducing their ACs by 2. In addition you'll never have to worry about having an item identified, and you've got an excellent back-up spellcaster.
Jesters can also be interesting - imagine sending an invisible jester singing his song into a room full of opponents. The song doesn't cancel the invisibility, and eventually you have the opponents fighting among themselves. |

Bards are great - but then I'm into roleplaying, not powergaming. Sure you can't slice through everything really quickly, but some people like to get a different experience from the game.
I really hope that the bardsong abilities from HoW are implemented, they are great (esp. Warchant of Sith or whatever it's called) and I'm sure would make even the most ardent bardhater sit up and take notice! ------------------ ![]() Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. i went to the gamespy site.. oh boy the screenshots and what they had to say about the game.. wow i cant wait to get it... bards sound cool, hopefully the songs will get more powerful.. also maybe they will add a musical weapon of some sort for the bards..hopefully they will continue with the harpers involvement or maybe the main pc will have a chance to join or something...
