There are 50 (or more) ways to kill every monster in this game
![]() First time I summoned wizard eye and while the dragon was busy hacked him away with my tanks and probably had my mages cast some offensive spells (do not remember which, sorry). Second time I took Vorpal Sword - two hits and he was dead. It all depends on your party, style of playing, and equipment. Good Luck ------------------ Mishik's Place |

SUMMON SUMMON SUMMON
Cast a wizard eye and have it near the dragon. Send in waves of summon creatures (preferable spiders, fire elementals, aerial servants, earth elementals, mountain bears ... etc) to make the dragon wastes its spells on them before sending in anyone of your party. When you are actually fighting the lizard, cast lower resistance at least twice and unload any non-acid spells at it (e.g. lighting, magic missiles, flame arrows...etc). And at the same time have your fighters hack away. Your cleric should have beefed up your characters with chant, protection from evil, defensive harmony ... etc. Druids can summon insects at the black dragon. When party members are not casting spells, they should either be healing or fighting, every bolt and arrows counts. ------------------ Long live H22A1!!!!! |

SPOILER
/ / / / / / / / / / / / I used a wand of cloud kill, after a lower resistance spell. the dragon WILL move out of the area of effect, but will be vulnerable to attack with missile weapons, and by vulnerable, I mean it won't be attacking you. Arrows of biting work rather well, and fire arrows. Most important, keep your party spread out, if they aren't actually hacking and slashing, so that area of effect spells don't get everyone. Elementals work really well for cannon fodder. ------------------ "...and that's the bottom line, 'cause Robert the Bard says so!" Robert the Bard TLH |
