Hello all,
I have a minor question regarding my pary... I have me fighter/mage (dual-class - lvl 7, lvl 11), Korgan, Minsc, Anomen, and Jan... I would like to have six in my party rather than 5, is there anyone who I can get (non-fighter) who would fit in? I thought of perhaps getting Haer'dals (or whatever it is), but he is primarily a fighter, and I really dont need much more of those... Suggestions, please? |

Aerie and Nalia will both do fine - Nalia's a mage and Aerie's a mage-cleric. Nalia's good because of some bonuses for helping her, plus since she is a mage only she'll have more spells than Aerie. BUT- Aerie's ability to use both types of spells can be a BIG bonus. If you like evil characters and can control your rep to keep it low enough not to hack him off, Edwin is a good mage too. Good thing about all of these is that you can find them early in the game if you try, thereby letting them increase in level.

Edwin's head and shoulder above the other mages in the game. You've got a fairly good party there. You must have a pretty strong stomach to be able to keep Anomen around, though. ; )

Yeah, Anomen gives me the shits a lot, its funny how he is a try hard mage...
Like he is a real bastard, but he still wants to be honerable and stuff, it is kewl how Korgan confronts him about it... I like the way this sort of thing adds to the game though... I would rather Jeheira 10 times over, but I have already played through a game with her, and wanted to fins out some of anomen's quests... I think if he keeps killing innocent females, then my rep will be no problem... Also, if I get Edwin, I think that I need to ditch Minsc, because they fight... Could you guys maybe suggest someone who would be a good substitute for him? maybe mazzy, or Valyger? |

You can stop Minsc and Edwin fighting by putting either in lead of the party. If you were going to replace Minsc, Valygar's probably the best choice, but for the sake of character interaction I'd take Mazzy. She and Korgan are a blast to shove together.

What do you find to be a pretty good combination?
I think it is important to have 2 good fighters up front... then maybe a fighter/cleric (healer) something else... Bard... Theif, and a specialist mage of sorts... but a lot of these are covered by multi classes, like Jan... My first party was Me (fighter), Minsc, Keldorn, Jeheira, Jan, and Aerie, and it was good... |

My favourite party's me (fighter/mage, 12/15), Korgan, Jaheira, Viconia, Jan, Edwin. Got three tanks up front who are good with ranged and melee combat, and the three in the back using ranged sling/shortbow/daggers or spells.
