Sorry but I need help on this one.

First time I played the game I cast Wizards eye next to the demi-lich (Kangaxx) and kicked his ass in no time. Well this time he just smack the wizards eye in 1 second and all the summons are killed just as easy. Immunity to spell a..... (the one against the demi-lich) doesn't work. I'm a berserker with the crom (level 20). Still I hear: My weapons have no effect. How can I kill it????????

Kangaxx the lich?
Only +5 weapons can affect him i think.
I just beated him today.
Thats how i did it:
I killed Firekraag, took the carsomyr + 5. Invited Keldorn in my party, gave him boots of speed, carsomyr. What is very helpfull is to buy protection from magic scroll from adventurer's mart. Buy one, when demi lich shows up get keldorn alone to fight lich (dont forget to cast protection from magic scroll). Now all lich does (only Maze) is useless while you kick his ass.
Easy!

By the way.
To get two rings of gaxx from him you need to to:

Use yoshimo or jan to pickpocket lich just when he appears (before he turns to red). If its successfull you get one ring. Kill him and ull get another

Easiest way I found was to use a protection from undead scroll, Lich/demilich just stands there (blue circle) while you pummel him back to the abyss.

Do not use Protection from Undead scrolls on your whole party when he is in his Lich form, or you will be unable to trigger his transformation until the scroll duration runs out... ...

Kangaxx the Demi-Lich fires off Imprisonment, not Maze. Big difference.

You only need +4 or better enchanted weapons to whack the Demi-Lich form.

Note that the Lich form can fire off Protection from Magical Weapons which will render your Crom Faeyr useless for 4 rounds. Simply cast counter spells to remove the Lich's spell protections.

Liches are immuned to level 1-6 spells, but they can still be Breached.

Demi-Liches can only be touched by level 10 spells.

Liches like to cast Spell Shield as well, this will render your first counter spell useless, so do not think that your counter spells are not getting through. They are.

Pickpocket and get 2 rings. Well thats a bug in the game.

I also use a +4 weapon against it. No effect.

Why does it destroy the wizards eye.

You have to kill Firekraag if you want the Carsomyr.

People who keep pickpocketing one ring and later looting another ring, or using Cloudkill from distance to kill some dragon, should REALLY apply the patches from Bioware and Baldurash to fix these OBVIOUS bugs. And since these are bugs, it isn't exactly neat to suggest them to others either. Simply go to Bioware page and get the latest patch, also go to Baldurash page and get their fixpacks to fix these obvious loopholes and bugs, and then do it again.

Regarding Kangaxx the Demi Lich, then yes, the Protection from Magic Weapons will make your Crom Faeyr useless for a short time. Breach will fix that tho, need more then one. Careful with the Enrage, it at times tends to drop off at a bad moment and Kangaxx the Demi Lich has a fast "trigger finger" with the Imprisonment. From weapons +4 and higher will hit him. With a party, Protection from Undead will work but have to make sure that it is NOT ON before the Kangaxx turns into Demi Lich and speaks to you, otherwise he will be unkillable. Basically slap the Protection from Undead on on all chars save 1 (i.e. Minsc), make sure that Minsc is away from the Demi Lich, put some summons in front of the Demi Lich and that way, he sees only Minsc, makes his speech, starts Imprisoning the summons and during that time some other char can slap Protection from Undead on Minsc (because Minsc WIS is too low for him to use the scroll himself). Then just beat the Kangaxx up. Easy XP

Heh... sorry but that is very sick. Downloading custom patches to fix something that you already know will happen. It makes sense to go there to download Jaheira romance fix but this is useless. I am here to say how to beat Kangaxx. I didnt say he should steal one then get one so dont get pissed at me. Its a trick or bug as you call it. Besides people play games however they want to so dont force them to go to baldurdash or somewhere to download custom patches. BTW throwing 6 cloudkills at dragon never got him killed i noticed, not with firkraag at least. He was uninjured because he kept healing himself. Sounds like you are too much of a right guy. I never used cheats in BG2 (not in anygame almost unless i completed them first) and this is not a cheat.

Slow down guys. All I wanted was to hear why the demi-lich smacked the wizards eye (when it couldn't as I played without ToB installed) and why my weapons had no effect.
