monk troubles

im just curious if this has happened to anyone else
it is impossible for me to start a game with a monk wen irenicus casts a spell in the first video sequence it kills my character i tried everything i put my constitution to 18 basically everything and he kept dying

eventually my friend started a game for me and sent the files to me so i now have my monk but im wondering if anyone can exlain why it happened or wat they did to fix it

Hmm, this have never happened to me.
I have played through the game with monk several times, without this happening. So I guess its just your game.
What video sequence are you talking about?

at the very start when irenicus walks in and your in the cage
he says " ahh the child of baal has awoken.... it is time for more experiments" he waves his hands casts a spell then as it says "the pain is only passing you should survive the process" it goes to the sequence of when your character dies the hand disentegrating etc

i tried about a 100 times and what makes it so annoying was the fact i had to go throught the whole process of creating a new charcter over and over

I think it must be a technical Problem, ask ur friend what files they altered, and report back to us, we might be able to help u more then.

I was actually the one who sent the files to Archon.
All I did was create a monk character in my game and then sent the .CHR file of the Monk I created to Archon. I exported from my game and sent it to him because the one he made kept dying in the opening squence. He imported it and it worked.
Strange Game he has.........

gaaah!! i cant win

i finally get my monk and now he wont level up. in the character profile where it says experience needed to gain level : -1 but i cannot click the level up button

mizi can u help??

Save your savegame folder... and reinstall the game fresh. Patch it with patches 1 and 2. It should fix it.

hey guess wat? it happened again!

i tried everything i uninstalled absolutley everything and even re installed in different directories but it kept happening !
yes i tried the patches everytime

the only thing i can think of is that i install it as compact because of my absolutley fabulously small hard drive but it works for every other class except monk
