Sansuki? - Del is one bad mutha

I am just starting chapter 2, somehow I am required to deliver a body to the docks. No problem getting to the docks; but Sansuki runs up to me and begs for my help. Before I can do anything, Del shows up and there is a choice between letting Del kill Sansuki or stepping in. I don't think I should just watch Del butcher up Sansuki; but if I opt to help, Del kills me in a matter of moments. Should I avoid this segment until much later in the game, should I watch Del kill Sansuki or not? It doesn't seem possible to deliver the dead body and avoid this confrontation. Help

DEL IS A VAMPIRE SO YOU HAVE TO USE THE APRPOPRIATE SPELLS AND WEAPONS TO TAKE HIM OUT. MY CHARACTER HAD 2 X LONG SWORD+3 AND LOTS OF BLESS, CHANT ETC SPELLS. BUT HE IS KILLABLE.
