On the Trynton tree, there is a collapsed bridge that needs fixing. Everybody says you should merge the two short gooda vines to get one long vine, but I cant seem to be able to. Would someone be so kind as to state the whole process for merging two items, step by step, leaving nothing out, however inconsequential? I mean, am I an idiot or is there a bug? I do hope I'm an idiot as I have so much time and nerves invested in this game, it sometimes hurts.
Thank you in advance.

Click onto one vine while in the inventory screen, so it becomes your cursor. Click the little picture of two curved arrows pointing at a ball (the "merge" button), which is at the bottom left of the screen. Now click on the other short vine, and you should have a gooda rope. If you can't get the rope to fix the bridge, try leaving the rope in the inventory and approaching the gap with your cursor in the area where the bridge is broken, until you see where your cursor becomes a hand. Get the rope, and put it in that spot.

don't be over critical. You'd be surprised at the simple and obvious stuff I couldn't figure out! Even after 2 playthroughs!! (plays-through?)

Hit your Ctrl key when you're in the inventory screen!

Oh, and welcome Ludvik!
