IMHO, that "crushing" is one of the funniest things in Wizardry 8... a party that is able to defeat Dark Savant can get crushed by a few falling bricks... funny indeed. :-D

Its odd that. I got crushed last night trying to leave the Umpani store room, that was a new one for me!

I don't think I've experienced the crushing myself, other than the spell!
The thing that drives me nuts is when Sadok gets stuck above his door! He just bounces around up there.

He need to make ally with the Rapax so that this will lessen the enemies that might ruin his plan to go to ascension peak. Remember that the Rapax got quite a reputation in Dominus ( just like Mordor in LoTR ). This Reputation alone can make others think twice before barging into Savant's plan. Also Savant need the Rapax to make raids into other parts of Dominus ( remember the rapax troops near trinnie place? ) as this will make the locals busy themselves defending against these rapax raids and will not be able to send any sort of resistance to Savant plans.

T'rang might have an advance technology that might trouble the Rapax however they seem unable to take care of a Rapax Assasin. imagine that..

Yes, that is strange. Umpani and T'rang have mighty space empires and for the most important mission they send some weak recruits... if they used their main forces, they could destroy all the Rapax in a while. But even as it is, they have rockets on Mt. Gigas peak and an armed spaceship on the Dominus orbit, why couldn't they use them?
They might have mighty space empires but IF your party didn't arrive in Dominus , these two will busy themselves fighting with each other and totally ignore a potential devastating threat ( savant and rapax ).

Hmmm, it's a miracle that these empires still exist, if one stupid assassin can get into T'rang main fort on Dominus throu the main gate, passing all those watchersss and other guardsss.

I think sometimes we read too much into things. I mean, you've got guys with spaceships wielding swords, muskets and blunderbuses?!?!?

Some experimentation... a few Rapax Veterans killed full Umpani patrol without any difficulties or casualties... strange.
