Who do you think would be the easiest solo character?

IMO it would have to be someone with stealth.

I've not played a solo, but would think that a monk would be fairly easy, the criticals and the stealth would help, you'd not be weighed down with heavy armour and weapons, and you'd have a few spells including healing and portal.

I started a dwarven monk solo to go with my fairy ninja solo, and it's not too bad (the monk). The only bad thing is you better have a good monitor, because even with the gamma cranked up at max, I'm going blind stumbling around without a light spell.

The easist has got to be a non-fairy ninja. Alchemy for $$, cast spells while silenced, locks and traps, pickpocket, stealth, critical strike, cloud spells, reasonable hp, stamina and cc. No mental resistance bonus (because no mental spells), but as solo, that doesn't matter much and you can concentrate on raising the 5 remaining realms.

My easiest Solo was a Bard who had one Rogue level for Stealth and switched to Fighter as soon as she could work the Restore instrument.

I've a bard in progess, I'll pick her up again some day..

Easier yet though, in my limited experience, was a Lord.

I always get one level of rogue for stealth when soloing.

A faerie ninja is the easiest for me, though it takes time to develop the stealth skill.

If you take a level with Rogue training then most are do-able (I think!).

I just did a Ranger up to Level 26 and got bored, and after the Monastery it was pretty simple, so I guess my vote would be Ranger, but FNInja was also not tough after the first part of the game which was very tough.

I think the easiest is prolly Bard with some Stealth training.

@Ragash; yah, i liked my Lords, too. The first one i ran solo changed from Bishop @L13, and then i ran one as Lord the whole time--the only Solo i finished without Stealth training.

The Lord would probably be the only class I'd attempt soloing without stealth.. both for good combat abilities (Fang or *Light*/Diamond Eyes, droool) and the hp regen. Makes downtime basically insignificant since s/he can basically just lie down between fights for a second or two and heal up completely.

Yeah, there are hp regen items, but not early on in the game (that I know of at least). And that's when I need it most, beyond level 14 after the temple it's a slaughterfest.
