Lost CD1 - Special Request

Hey All,

Well after Sir-Tech put up their tech form again, and I found a solution to one of the problems with W8, I thought I'd re-install the game and try and play it again.

The problem is, I lost CD1. I have both CDs still and the manual. I was wondering if someone could maybe send me the CD1 via the internet.

No, this is not a warez request. I will even take a digital photo of my two CDs and the manual with my nickname on one of the CDs.

Also,

if you have broadband i will show you how to convert the CD into an iso.

I even called Futureshop to see if they have any in stock , and none! I can't even buy it (again) unless I order online and wait five days

I don't think you can reproduce the CDs. I tried to copy them to keep the originals safe, and could not. It makes me nervous playing with the originals.

you can with winiso, it makes a duplicate copy or clonecd

just no one is e-mailing me to even try, will you? [img]smile.gif[/img]

What in the world is _winiso_ and where can I get it??? I do not live in the States and there is absolutly no chance for me to get a replacement if something happens. It is undestandable that people who work hard want to get paid, but a $10 game can cost me much more like $50. Computers crash, or get or a virus, or any of a number of things. I believe people should buy the games they play but I also beleive that those who buy games should be able to make a backups. Things do happen. Life happens.

Sorry for the rant.

we recently discovered we lost the first cd to divine divinity (still have the other 2 - dunno how that happened!) we wrote to the publisher, and they were happy to send a replacement if we supplied the remaining discs and original receipt. i thought that was a great service. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hmmm. I'd help out, but cd not being where I am now, and me not usually having a decent internet conection most of the time won't let me yet. Unless someone else helps you out, I probably can, in, ummm, a week or so...
