has anybody ever made one? if so what characters did you use and what professions did you use. i would have made legolas a ranger but aragron is really a ranger. anyway, i was thinking of making one.

Well you could make a party with human fighter (Boromir), human ranger (Aragorn, switch to fighter maybe), hobbit rogue (Frodo), dwarf fighter (Gimli), human mage (Gandalf), elf ranger (Lagolas).

Or add any of the other hobbits.

I haven't done this party, you should recruit Vi for bishop spells, but the fighters and the rogue can get quite big hitters, and nothing equals the destructive capabilities of a mage.

Aragorn--human lord
Gimli--dwarf fighter
Legolas--elf ranger
Frodo--hobbit rogue
Gandalf--human(?) mage
Galadriel--elf psionic

I added Galadriel to have a female, she has telepathic abilities, plus that gives access to all four schools of magic. I use the gnome portraits for Gandalf, they look the most like him. Legolas is a ranger since he specializes in archery. Aragorn has healing ability and uses a sword, plus he is heir to the throne of Gondor, after all, so lord is a natural choice.

Question Mark

I think Holy Warrior has it right. That is a party worth trying, relatively weak on the healing but so are the characters in LotR who are adventuring.

Waiting for my Two Towers DVD to show up next month. Yaaay!!!

Speaking of Lord of the Rings Parties: We have been to private showings of both LotR pics, where we could eat well (potluck, generally first class food such as shrimp kabob, curried lamb, veg dishes, etc.) and drink whatever we want (imported beer, wine, and ??) while watching the film in the enclosed balcony at the Senator. And we can set the lights, volume and Surroundsound balance. It is an art deco theater in Baltimore on the national historic list. Only cost about two bucks extra if you have the people (more than 10, easily met).

I don't think they will ever make a Wizardy movie, though. Most of these things go kaput if not done with intelligence and style. Jackson did it. It would take a literary masterwork and another genius director such as Ridley Scott or James Cameron. The bombs are too numerous to list, but I liked Dragonslayer, Sword and the Sorcerer, Conan the Barbarian, and a few others.

Galadrial seems more like a priestess or a valkerie. When Legolas dosnt have the bow, he has twin swords (if you ever played the video game), so maybe he could be a samuri with a bow. i wouldnt take sam. he is a freakin gardener! whats he goin to do? smack people with a shovel? gandolf would be a psionic to cover all spellbooks. im just not sure if gandolf is a human or an elf. i should ask my friend, she knows more about it than me.

thanx for ur ideas.

Gandalf may not be hunan (not Chinese, I meant human), but he is way too tall for an elf. Tolkien doesn't actually say what he is. He is a mage but he has other abilities. Maybe Psionic covers it, maybe not. He could be a rather tall gnome?

I having read and reread the Hobbit, LoTR, Silmarillion, and other Tolkien encyclopedias think that Gandalf is one of the istari, who are maiar (lesser level gods)(other maiar are Sauron, Saruman, the balrog...), and for his stay in Middle Earth he chose to be an old man, so in wiz I think he should be a human.

...and remember that you're not allowed to lvl up your hobbits if you're trying to stay true to Tolkien

And if you stay true to Tolkien you'll have to let Boromir die at a waterfall...
