Finally finished after a little more than a month. Saved before entering the cosmic circle, and did all three endings. It was fun watching my ninja, valkyrie, and android chop down the Dark Savant like a big old tree while the rest of my party held off the spawns.

My final party:

bard level 24
gadgeteer level 24
psionic level 23
mage level 23
ninja level 22
valkyrie level 23
Vi level 22
android level 22

Great finish to a long, hard game.

Cool. I finished for the first time last week.

my party was around 3 levels lower. So I suspect the final fight was nothing for you it wasnt hard for me.

I had one tough spot on ascension peak where a few spawn monster groups were in same area as souleater that i had to reload a few times other than that it wasnt hard.

The same thing happened to me when I reached the souleater. There was a cloud djin and five other smaller djin-things plus the souleater. After a couple of turns half my party was insane, and the other half were turncoat. My android killed my ninja. It was a big mess. I reloaded, rested in a safe spot, and got the souleater alone. It went much better.

I applaud anyone who can do this game solo. For me, a solo would not only be not very fun, but would be downright masochistic. The next time I play, my party would be something like fighter/samurai/monk/rogue/priest/alchemist. I probably wouldn't use RPCs the second time through. But first, I have to play BG and BG:TOSC, which I have just loaded and have never played.

if you want a relativly easy solo try this:

start a fairy rouge and work on stealth, whatever you do dont level.... just work on stealth against all the bats and green slimes in the lower monestary.
when you think you got enough stealth (i maxed it) level your char but not as a rouge, switch class to bishop (make sure when you create the character that you will be able to do it without "wasting" level ups).
now you got a fairy bishop with insanly high (for that stage of the game) ac. most monsters wont hit you.
what you want to do now is get to arnika to make money (potion making) and buy all the spells you can with it coz you wont waste any spell picks on spells.... you're saving them for level 6/7 spells.... this way at level 19 IIRC you'll have most of level 6/7 spells and you can switch class to ninja...
Dual wield CoC and RoS...
I'm just cruising through AP with this char, sooooooooo ez....

I did say thats an easy way for a solo game...
You end up like a demi god.... al spells and huge amount of damage per round with weapons (not to mention all the insta kills)
