Now, since the gods have conspired to keep my main party (of four pages of saves, no party getting more than one save slot apiece) in Trynton for the last few weeks (monsters kept on getting in the way) and the sheer weight that my characters were trying to get rid of was affecting their armour class and number of attacks severely, I also wandered why I couldn't find these reputed breeding rats. The little fellow who told me about them could see them with his telescope but wasn't kind enough to tell me where they where. Consequently I decimated anything hostile, searched the entire area, found a seemingly unmendable broken bridge and spent ages trying to rest whilst being assailed by hordes of tree sprites, leaf sprites vile spiders and tree spirits. If anyone has any idea as to where I might find the spiders I'd be most grateful. Also (as an afterthought) can the Zynaryx plate be worn by all faeries or is it class restricted as well (unfortunately I sold all my venom crab shells earlier but there wasn't a fairy in the party but if I could make it now it'd help me in future party composition).

All i remember about the Xan is my faerie had to take it off to be a Ninja.
You can fix the bridge:

R
S

A
C
E
Find some vines by a dragon's head in a temple, merge them into a rope, and apply the rope where your pointer becomes a hand, in the middle of the broken part of the bridge.

The Key can be found at Don Barleone in the Rattkintree in his room in a crate . Milan Calzone won't let you in until you tell him the name of a very important charcter in this game
The 2Breederrats are in company of 3 rattkin archers and can be very hard to kill .After that all ratkins will become hostile (expect the npcs).

Ah, well, that all makes sense then doesn't it. I unpatched the game because the patch messed up all of the in game text and seemed to make no other changes. The very first time I searched the dragons head I either got spider silk or something that I used to meet the shaman (it was a few months ago when I played that particular party last). Oh well, at least there's the other nineteen odd parties to try with

Well, actually clicking on the Dragons head gets you a random object.. that's easiest to do from the sides, but if you come in from the front, you'll see two criss-crossing vines over the big ash/coal pit above the dragon's head. You should be able to click on both of them to get two GOODA VINES

OK, so you're in Trynton, see, and you can go Left to the place with the Seventh Bough, or straight to Madras, or right to Bough 5.
On Bough 5, you approach a bridge which destroys itself upon your arrival. Use the Vine Rope (Merge 2 Gouda Vines from next to the drago's head) where your cursor becomes a hand as you approach the breach in the bridge. Continuing on the bridge, you get to a zone intersection to 'Rattkin Tree'. If you go through this, which calls itself (on one of those Trynnie signs) the Sixth Bough, there's another exit to the ground, you find yourself at the base of a tree next to the Trynnie tree.
