I've been notified by Amazon.com that my Might & Magic IX has shipped! [Now it's safe for me to finish W8!]
Tell us, oh Magnificent and Omnipotent Moderators, will we have an Ironworks Forum for it?

I have M&M 9 and have started playing it. Ordered it directly from 3DO last Thurs night and had it by Monday. I am reminded how much better Wiz 8 is when I play: I don't care much for the M&M 9 interface but it does beat W&W. I like having a mouse button on the first person view that will take me directly to inventory and savegame, etc. In M&M your mouse only points where you are going/looking and you type letters to get to menus. Haven't tried combat yet, will try it tonight. The graphics look "pretty" (except for your character faces, where the choices are "pretty awful"). It also has character voice options similar to Wiz 8. Wonder if they stole the idea?

I have played M&M9 for about 2 days and i can say I DONT like it sorry about that :1puke: the interface are bad i think the spell system i SO complicated and so on! And the pouple you meet have all the same face and body exept for the different races.
Wizardry 8 is WAY mutch better so maby i don`t finish the game...i am sick about it now allready.
And this game have i waited for SO mutch all the year they have to make it!
But now back to Command & Conquer RENEGADE multiplayer on the net that is more innteresting for me at the moment

You guys are starting to worry me. M&M9 will be available in aussie in a few days. It will cost about $90 aussie so I really dont want to waste my money. I was hoping that M&M9 would be like Wiz8 in so much as being a great addition to the series. BTW I have M&M6 and got bored with it, I loved M&M4&5 though.
I also have Wizards and Warriors but have put that aside to play another game of Wiz8. Wiz and War is just such a lame/crappy interface/unpolished game compared to Wiz8 IMHO.
I guess that Wiz8 has just about ruined my chances of enjoying another 1st person/turn based CRPG game. Luckily though Wiz8 has a great deal of replayabilty............apparently I even missed one section (SE Wilderness) the first time I finished the game.

Hi Knip Dyolf maby i was TO negative but i was a little frustated because i had waited so mutch from this game but it is M&M 7-8 again maby a little better graphic i trie to play it today and i think the game is HUGE and that are what i like with RPG and it has tons of quest`s! Wizardry 8 was to short but had an greate story!
I think that the graphic is not THAT innporten but the storye. The manual is a story by it self it`s WERY bad no explation for the spells or monsters in the game and it have 11 pages, thin like a paper.
I didn`t like M&M 7 in the beginning but after have played it for some time i loved it som maby this will happen with m&M 9 to i hope so!

Hey all.

I got MM9 about 5 days ago and took it back after 2 days. Very poor. An oppertunity missed I fear. Appart from a new graphics engine and branching "baldurs-gate" type conversations, it was exactly like the older MM games. Combat was very simplistic - I think they tried to make it a bit like a first person shooter and it aint up to much, I my humble opinion.

I'd wait for morrowind.

(However, when I took it back, I exchanged it for Gothic - this looks much more promising).

There is a lot of hype around Vapowind. But I start to be reserved about non-released games because often the hype does not reflet the true game.

Very true.

But my original point that MM9 is pants still holds.

A review I read on some site today gave it 15/100.....
