Is finding some gadgets random?

I know there are some supposedly in Lower Marten's Bluff and in the Mt Gigas Caves but I can't find them...

Apparently, some gadget parts were never put into the game. The really important gadgets, though, can all be made (like the NegatAir, for instance).

In all my trips through the game, I've found that gadget parts, when they exist, are always in exactly the same place. Same thing for bard instruments.

In that case, this post might have to get a bit spoilery.

A friend of mine told me that there are three gadgets in the Mt Gigas Caves and 2 in Lower Marten's bluff... where are they (specific locations please)?

Uh, can't remember all, but we can collect, right? You can find the ptorch in one of the cave-ins in the mnt gigas caves. One gadget (I can't recall which) is in the room of the T'Rang merchant, if you have the door in your back it's in the far corner to your right. It's hidden, so use detect secret or something similar...

Well, I can tell you I've never found the loudspeaker or high voltage transformer in Gigas caves. The ptorch, however, is in the unexplored area, in a water pit in the southernmost tunnel. You have to drop into the pit to get it; there are ropes you can climb back up with, but you can't climb down (go figure).

Never found the electric eye in Marten's Bluff. The laser pointer, however, is a hidden item in Sadok's room.

Loudspeaker, high Voltage transformer & demon Doll arent in the game. before it came out they were removed/forgotten. never ehard a reason about why they arent in the game just know they never made it in.

(HVT is not the same thing that Crock sells but thought i'd better clarify as people have said they are the same thing which they arent).

Only "random" gadget is the Vaporizer and that is a "really" common drop off the bucc. ghosts/Lightsword/shield chest in Bayjin.

All the Rest are found in "exactly" the same place as you would have found them in previous games. Anna sells the electrodes & crock sells 3 gadget pieces but the rest are "placed" items.

Actually, I found a doll in Arnika in a locked house. I don't have a Gadgeteer so I dumped it in a chest. The doll looked like a clown... I'm not sure if it was the "demon doll" or not.

Doll and Demon Doll are two separate items actually. [img]smile.gif[/img] Doll makes the Jack in a Box, then you combine that with the Demon Doll to get the Demon in a Box, so I've read.
