Bard -- doesn't play

I will state that your communication skill does affect the prices, and it affects the prices for the whole party. I have kept track of just a couple of prices because of how I play.

I started out with an imported party that had a couple of mana stones. I use them down to 1, sell them to Braffit and then buy them back. That way I don't have to use as many magic nectars. When I first did this, Braffit would buy them for 480 each and sell them back to me at 520. I thought that was okay since I was getting two charges of spell points for 40 gold. Later, I noticed that I could sell them for 485 and buy them for 515. So I decided to spend points in my bard's communication skill. (I only put points into communication on my bard, no one else.) Right now, my skill is at 60 and I can sell the mana stone for 500 and buy it back for 500. It is basically free for two charges. (I have stopped putting points into it and am just letting it grow on its own now.) It does not matter if my bard sells the stone or if Robby the android (who has communication skill of 5) sells the stone, I still get 500 for it and still buy it for 500.

You communication skill does affect the prices you pay and the amount you get when you sell items, but only one character needs the high communication skill for everyone to reap the reward.
