I am about lvl 18-21 and seems that fights are not challenging any more. I can easily kill whatever hordes I encounter. So how to make game more challenging(sleep in dangerous places or what)? Also what is the highest level anyone of you achieved for whatever class? What is the theoritical maximum(question for game designers)?

Cheers!

Are you playing at Expert level? I take it that you probably are.

I'm not sure...you can download the cheat from the Wiz 8 site here at Ironworks and use it to create customized monsters, of course.

Heh - you want hard, then keep moving about. Where are you right now? It will get harder... just find some good ol' casters. (Have ya ventured into the sea caves yet? Heard that's a good place for a spanking)!

I topped my chars out at Lev. 28. Several folks here have gone in the 30-33 range. I'm 99% positive that Level 50 is the highest achievable in the game.

The 3rd Easter Egg Dungeon I believe spawns the highest creatures, so try there if you haven't! I know it kicked my butt...

Can you be more specific about those secret dungeons? Actually I found one in Mt. Gigas Caves but seems I cannot get in. I pretty sure that there is something in that area but where is the entrance? Also I know one that you jump into the hole....

I know of one - the one beneath the graveyard... and if I am not mistaken, and the Stone Circle in the wilderness, I believe there's one under there?

There are three Easter Egg Dungeons (that I know of anyway): one in the graveyard (Arnika-Trynton road), one in the Northern Wilderness, and one in the Mountain Wilderness. You can use Detect Secrets to help you find the entrances to each, or you can check here for maps(just follow the links to Wizardry 8 and then to Rune Puzzle).

Very true, haven't had a challenging fight since I left the Monastery.

I am now level 28-29. I wanted to be level 30 before finishing the game so I am experience hunting.
No challange whatsoever in the battles. If you have Magic Screen, Element and Souldshield up all resitances of all character are 100. Armor class is between 30 and 40 after the first combat round. Nothing, nobody can really harm us,...

Well, the monster list to the game actually has the majority of them ending at level 25 or so. Past that there are only scattered spellcasters and the like, and that is about it, except for one or two creatures, such as a type of gazer that is level 50, or a huge flying serpent that is level 48ish.

I finshed the game with level 25/26 characters. I do feel that it became less challenging after I got my levels in the 20s and had all the right buff spells. For example, the Rapax Castle wasn't particularly difficult for me. However, there are some serious monsters at Ascension Peak that will test your skill. Levels in the high 30's and some in the 40s.

If foudn the final showdown with the Dark Savant is suprisingly hassle-free. I expected a much harder battle.
