I have a ATA 66 20 gig HD partioned into 6.4 gig, 10.2 gig and 3.2 gig for OS, games and MP3 respectively ...

My free space on the three partition are 3.0 gig, 600mb and 1.5 gig respectively

I am running Duron 750 with 655 mb of SDrams.... loading is also 40 secs to 1 mins, whereas others have claimed loading in 10 secs, I have defragmented my 3 partitions, so why is it so ... ???

is it that my games drive should have more free space ????

Any 1 ... ????

OMG!!!!!!

you need way more headroom on your game drive than 600MB.
get in there right now, and give yourself a minimum of 1200MB, altho i would recommend 2GB for better performance.

Although 600mb is a BARE minimum you should have as free space for a swap file, unless you specified where the swap file will be, Windows will use the C: drive for the swap file (and you have plenty of room there.) Maybe the problem is somewhere else-- for instance- do you have UDMA drive support enabled in your BIOS? Also, do you have the latest drivers for you motherboard chipset?-(these can give a significant increase in drive transfer speed.)
Do any other games take a long time to load? (although 40 sec to 1 min is not bad)

PS-- how do you have *655* MB of SDRAM? That number is not possible.

I only have very limited knowledge with computers hjk but I did read somewhere (hopefully it was a computer mag and not Womens Day or similar) that said it was a good idea to keep about half of your drive space clear for swap files.....in your case the second drive (that has wiz 8 ) is really cramped. Try deleting some of the other games then defrag. And also the 655 MB of SDRAM as LethalBlade mentioned just aint possible as the number just aint right....have another look at your system files....what OS are you using?

512 mb + 128 mb = 640 mb

640 mb is actually 655360 since one mb is 1024 ....
