Talryan:

Hmmm.. I'm still having a problem.

When I load a file and pull down the menu I get a listing of characters starting with the set of four which are on the left side of the play window. Those are followed by a listing of NPCs which I DON'T have in my party.

The characters on the right side of my screen never show up at all and a search doesn't find them either.

Wierd, but coming along nicely

Hey Vesselle and Tal,

Thats what i tried to do change my stats by taking points from 1 or 2 and putting them in another stat, but in the game whenever i leveled up in the game the stats i took points away from returned to original stats and my beefed up stats was unaffected(still beefed up},id have to go into editor after leveling up then readjust stats every time i leveled....now i did create a new party not an existing on.

Doesn't this cheat no cheat thread rear it's head in just about every gaming thread?

You get your people who say:
"Cheating is bad and it ruins the fun of the game and if you do it, you too are a bad person."
(My take: I'm too lazy to code, I'd never use use a trainer)

and then you get your people who say:
"It's your game and you can do whatever you want to do with it and you have no right to say that."
(My take: Good counter arguement until the "no right part.")

and then the counter arguement
"Freedom of speech, I can say whatever I want"
(My take: there is a pharse " . . .the last refuge of a scoundral)

Well friends, just wait, when Might and Magic 9 and Daggerfall Mmorrowind comes out we will hear the exact same thing.

True, Dajjer... I just don't listen to anal people who think they have the right to tell me how to play a game

But this thread isn't about whether to cheat or not; it's about helping Talryan make a really nice and useful editor for us to use. Whether or not anyone chooses to use it is their business

~~talryan~~

oops! i noticed something. i went in and changed one of my girls and was very happy to see how she would be when she levels up! but then i went in to do it with another girl, but she wasn't on the dropdown list. it seems like the problem paldarion mentioned. 3 of the girls were there, with the RPCs, but the other 3 were nowhere to be found.

anyways, i went in and found her character file and used that, but all the numbers were wrong. hmmmm. i will play with it some more next time i take a wizardry break and try to get the details for you and send you an email.

thanks for everything!

There was a problem with my algorithm in the older version. If you don't have version 2.1, I'd recommend going and downloading it from my site. It has a few improvements and additions to it.

I dont know if any versions have this or not, but I would like a face/voice option on one of these... I am not complete until I have explored every crevice of this game.

Alos, if it is possible, I would want to find another way to use the cheat keys other than the 'trainer' that is available... For some reason it doesn't want to work on my machine, and I hear it has a fairly extensive editor on it.

that particular trainer was made for the demo, and it only works with the first patch. so, it would be of no use to someone who has current patching on the game.

i tried it on the demo to walk thru walls and explore the layout of the levels, and it worked great for that, but even with the first patch on the full game, i had problems with the editor part of it. i couldn't create items or anything.

course, i could just be a big dummy.

hehe, if you want to change your characters photo, vioce, name , nic name, it can all be done in game (except for NPC's)

go into your inventory...
click on the characters name that is under the photo, and feel free to change voice/pic/name/nic etc. Only thing you cant change is gender
