Fun with game's music

After realizing I liked one of the combat themes the best,
I decided to try something.

The theme was combat easy.mp3 so what I did was copy backups
of the other themes (except the hard one, as that would be
like the boss fight music in other games) and then make
copies of combat easy.mp3, and rename the copies to the
names of the original theme its replacing. I still have
the originals because I made backups. Now every non-hard
battle will play the combat easy theme, and if I get tired
of it, I can easily go back to the way it was.

I imagine you can do this with any .mp3. Just make a backup
of the mp3 you want to replace and name your mp3 to the
same name of the game mp3 file you replaced. Like if you
wanted to replice Arnika's music, you could. rename Arnika.mp3
to something else, then rename the mp3 you want to use for it
as Arnika.mp3.

Just thought it would be a little fun thing to try out.

That's kind of cool! I like the idea of playing a real heavy guitar riff when a battle starts.

I know when I play waaaay too much because my wife starts to hum the music. She did that the other day and I asked "How do you know that music?" (not quite recalling where it's from). She said with a laugh: "It's only been playing for the last three hours in your game!"

Sheepishly, I said "Oh yeah..."

But actually she sat and watched me play this one for a bit the other day. It doesn't always happen, because she's not one for gaming. The last game that she did this with was The Sims. Then we would talk to each other like The Sims when I wasn't playing the game.

I bought the sims hoping that another style of game would cure my craving for RPG but it was all a waste of time.
Whenever the neighbours came over for a visit I was always hoping that one would be an elven mage or similar and would ask me "please can you go over to number 9, I think they have a secret dungeon in the celler, and here, take this +3 dragon slayer sword with you just in case."
