Hi I'm Brak, I like beans. I am 31 yrs. old and married. I am a graphic artist and recently got a job managing a creative department at a large company. I started role playing back in the 80's with Pen & Paper D&D and really enjoyed the choose your own adventure books. I played mostly FPS games until my first CRPG...Baldur's Gate. Ever since then I've been hooked. I've played all the Infinity engine games and most recently REALLY enjoyed Gothic, and now am hooked on W8.

Since today is the 2 year anniversary of the first date my wife and I ever went on I thought I'd sing you a Brak original about love. I first sang this song on Cartoon Planet, I hope ya like it. Gimme a bouncy C:

I love ya baby, I love the way that you walk,
I love ya baby, I love the way that you talk,
I really like it…when ya call my name,
Hey Braky wacky.
I like your sister, I like your aunt Louise,
I like your doggie, I even like his fleas,
I really like it…when you tickle me,
He-he-huh-huh-hehehe, stop it!
Somebody left the cake out in the rain,
Ohhhh nooo, I was gonna eat that cake,
But now it’s all wet & I don’t think I want any!
We could get married, just the two of us,
You could get a job, drivin a schoool bus,
I love ya baby, will you marry me?
You don’t have to decide right away,
Think it over, who’s it gonna hurt?
Where ya goin?!

If you wanna hear some more Brak originals go hear and have a listen:

Bye Everybody!

My name is Dee and I am 64 years old. My very first time I used a computer I played "Bane of the Cosmic Force". My grandson and his best friend introduced me on how to use a computer. They were have problems diagraming the layout. So since I am or was an accountant and owned my owned business in San Clemente, California, USA they figured I knew numbers well enough to help layout the castle. Needless to say I began playing the game and did so about 4 times until "Crusaders of the Dark Savant came out". I do not know enough about RPG but I have tried over the years. I enjoy the Wizardry games and the Might and Magic games but have not tried any of the others that you guys have mentioned. I am married since 1955 have 4 daughters, 4 son-in-laws 8 granchildren and 1 great granddaughter going to be a year in Februray on the 9th. My oldest grandson just turned 24 and my youngest grandson just turned 6. I guess that makes me the oldest grandmother playing on this forum. I still work and enjoy reading, crosswords etc. I do not go to movies since I have an ear problem that causes vertigo so I am stuck on the RPG's and play them over and over. I am going to try Wizards and Warriers next. I have the M&M * but have not started it yet it just sits in the box. Oh I forgot I am an avid MahJong player and have played since I was 16years old.

Heyas, my names Gavin. 24. I live in Sydney, Australia and I've been stuck working in the city since I left school.

I see theres a few Queenslanders around here. I visited Brisbane last year, cool place. Britanna Inn I think the pub I went to was called. The girls in that place seemed to outnumber the guys 3-1

I've always liked fantasy, my first experience of an CRPG was seeing Times of Lore on my friends C64. Then I saw Might and Magic 3 on my another mates 386, and I just had to get a PC

If theres anybody who is playing a Wizardy game for the first time (like me) and wants to experience the classics, you can get the Wiz classics here:

I've been a member of Ironworks since November or December 2000 when I got Wizards & Warriors and found the forum folks too helpful and friendly not to hang out with...we created many funny threads with jokes, storylines, etc. and I became a W&W guru of sorts having no other way to spend my time but to help players out once I finished my game.

I was then introduced to the General Conversation Forum where I met a lot of IW's other members who always have something to talk about.

I've not been posting as much lately as I did "back in the day" what with having started school in August of last year, but I feel commited enough to my love of Wiz 8 to check in here whenever I can and help people out, or at least try to lol. Its a great game and I am glad we have all gotten together here to play & post, so here I go...adding another post to the total LOL.

Thank you to all of you newcomers that have posted here! It's great to meet you all and I hope you are enjoying the time you spend playing Wizardry 8!!

This game has class, still enjoying it. W&W was very close to getting it right. The early games (80's and beyond) were fun but the graphics were limited by the tech. Playability made up for lack of high polygon counts, or more than 4 colors, etc. My first was with an Apple 2 version of the "Wizard and the Princess" (forerunner to KQ series) while working on a PhD in 1982 or thereabouts I didn't eventually get in theoretical chemistry. I can't blame it on games alone, but it was a distraction. I was, and still am, my own worst enemy. Not that I don't have some real enemies, somewhere. I try to avoid them. I was playing music in a band at the time, and writing (still doing both). So I have a word of caution to those in school and playing great games like Wiz 8. Find a way to discipline yourself!!! Quick! Before you are doomed. If you want that degree. Otherwise, have a great day...(BTW, found a job that pays well, for now and the last 17 years, would have been overqualed with a higher degree). Such is life. 47, Baltimore, USA The 3 cats say hi.
