In fact im such a newbie to this game that i havent even bought it yet. Nor could i since it hasnt hit stores here yet. But my question: im looking for a good Rpg and since everyone is telling me that PoR2 sucks and Wizardry8 is the thing to get... Unfortunatly i never played any of the previous wizardry games, would i be missing much of the story? And last, can anyone give me a general discription of the game? Thanks in advance.

Have you ever played Might and Magic? It's kinda like that, except that it's better, try downloading the demo if you want to get a feel of the game, I haven't tried the game yet myself but I've tried that demo and I WILL have that game....

LOL, yes, he is! The name *is* a little confusing...it's Swedish; prounced "JIR" in the second syllable rather than "GIR" which some confuse for "girl". I made the same mistake when I first met him way back in April of this year, so don't feel badly.

Just another example of the mysterious anonymity of the Internet.

Cheers,

I guess you could call me a "Wizardry newbee", as I've been playing CRPG's since before even the SSI Gold Box series. And all I can say is...

JEEZ, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS SERIES LONG AGO????

I've played just about every CRPG I could get my hands on, and This is one of the best I've had the pleasure to play. I have the entire M&M Series, and this is similar but... I'm having alot more fun playing this than I remember playing M&M7. Now I wish I would have paid more attention to the previous titles in the series. I Must of missed out on alot of fun.

Don't feel badly, Vesselle. You wouldn't believe how many people have confused our Wyvern for a male!

Definitely download the demo. After playing the demo, I knew I had to go out and get the game.
